Amal Clooney In Bottega Veneta – United Nations Headquarters

Amal Clooney was seen outside the United Nations Headquarters in New York City on Thursday (March 9), where she was set to deliver remarks during ‘The Fight against Impunity for Atrocities: Bringing Da’esh to Justice’ event.

At the height of her signature sophistication, she made a smart statement in a Bottega Veneta Resort 2017 matching dress and coat set accessorised with a Salvatore Ferragamo bag.

I love how this look brought the boldness of a bright yellow hue tempered by precisely refined tailoring and accent piping.

Classic, cool, and commanding—for all the right reasons.

Who Wore Bottega Veneta Better? Jessica Brown Findlay or Andie MacDowell?

Jessica Brown Findlay wore a bright orange Bottega Veneta Spring 2017 gown to the 2017 BAFTAs before Andie MacDowell wore it to the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Academy Awards Viewing Party exactly two weeks later.

It is a gorgeous gown, so I’m not surprised that both ladies were drawn to it.

However, the look infinitely better with the belt, so Andie presentation of this look wins for me

Andie MacDowell In Bottega Veneta – Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Academy Awards Viewing Party

I was very surprised to see Andie MacDowell wearing this Bottega Veneta Spring 2017 gown to Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Academy Awards Viewing Party on Sunday (February 26).

Why?

Because Jessica Brown Findlay wore the same gown exactly two weeks ago at the BAFTAs.

The same gown worn during awards season? The only greater faux pas would be wearing it on the same night, no?

My belief has always been there are enough gowns to go around, that there is no need to wear them twice.

Rant aside, this is a gorgeous colour on Andie, and the belt – which Jessica omitted – helps add balance when the shoulder straps are covered by the hair.

At the end of the day, Andie wore it better, so perhaps a second run out wasn’t the end of the world for this dress.

Jessica Brown Findlay In Bottega Veneta – 2017 BAFTAs

Jessica Brown Findlay also attended the 2017 BAFTAs on Sunday (February 12) in London, England.

The English actress stunned in this orange Bottega Veneta spring 2017 gown, that had a slightly Victoria Beckham feel, circa spring 2012. The origami folds and tucks, and the ruching at the waist, draw your eye in and help contour her figure.

Jessica really suits this colour, and the long length makes her look much taller than her five foot four inches.

My only gripe with this look is that I wish she would have kept the black waist belt – it adds more shape, and helps break up the extreme pop of colour this dress offers.

89th Annual Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon Red Carpet Roundup

More stars were also in the mix at the 89th Annual Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon, hosted on Monday (February 6) in Beverly Hills.

Viola Davis: A simple sheath dress took on bold new meaning with this Bottega Veneta geometric design. I love how Viola skipped plain black pumps in favour of a pair with pale-pink detailing.

Laura Dern: The dark mustard-y hue of this Roksanda gown is not an easy one to wear—nor is the satin material. With two strikes against the dress, perhaps a vibrant lip colour would have helped.

Naomie Harris In Bottega Veneta – 89th Annual Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon

Naomie Harris joined her fellow nominees at the 89th Annual Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon on Monday (February 6) in Beverly Hills.

At very first glance, I didn’t gravitate towards the canvas colour of this Bottega Veneta Spring 2017 pleated dress, as I love seeing Naomie in bright shades so much.

However, its buttery hue quickly won me over, especially since she wore the primly tailored silhouette so well.

And, the dimensional black embellishment was just icing on the cake for this richly sophisticated look that yet again sees Naomie back to her best.

She completed the ensemble with an Edie Parker clutch and René Caovilla black heels, not to mention glossy waves and softly radiant makeup.
