Thandie Newton In Stella McCartney – British Film Industry Reception

Thandie Newton In Stella McCartney - British Film Industry Reception

Queen Elizabeth II greeted Gurinder Chadha, Damian Lewis, Helen McCrory and Thandie Newton at a reception for the British Film Industry held at Windsor Castle yesterday in Berkshire, England.

If you watch ‘Chelsea Lately’, you would’ve already known the that British actress was going to wear a Stella McCartney suit, and she did.

Sadly, the look was only captured from the side, but we get the gist of Thandie’s Stella McCartney bespoke grey tweed peplum fitted long-sleeve dress.

While the required ‘Hello My Name Is..’ badge doesn’t quite go with the ensemble, the black beaded bag and black Charlotte Olympia wedges with gold piping add not so strait-laced elements to her conservative look.

Thandie Newton In Vintage Gathering Goddess - 'Rogue' LA Premiere

Thandie Newton attended the LA premiere of ‘Rogue’ held at the ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood, California yesterday evening.

The British actress wore yet another vintage dress from Gathering Goddess.

Her black 1950s Audrey-Hepburn-style dress, which features a fitted bodice and patterned skirt, was styled with gold Jimmy Choo accessories, including the gold lace ‘Fitch’ sandals we recently saw on Freida Pinto.

Solange Azagury-Partridge jewels, a hot-pink lip colour and side-swept locks provided the finishing touches.

Those of you who don’t like so many ‘bells and whistles’ on the red carpet you should really appreciate this effortless, chic look.

Thandie Newton In Vintage Swee Lo – ‘Rouge’ New York Premiere

Thandie Newton In Vintage Swee Lo - 'Rouge' New York Premiere

Thandie Newton attended the New York premiere of her DirecTV ‘Rogue’ series, held at Tribeca Grand Screening Room in New York City yesterday evening.

The 40-year-old British actress dazzled in an 80s vintage beaded Swee Lo dress from The Gathering Goddess.

Her abstract sequinned dress, in tones of silver, gold, black and red, was styled with simple bi-colour silver-and-black Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps, a silver clutch and star-shaped silver earrings

As always, she is elegance personified, proving you don’t have to flash the flesh *coughs* Halle Berry *coughs* to make a bold, eye-catching statement on the red carpet.

I love the glossy red lip colour.

Thandie Newton In Louis Vuitton-2013 BAFTA Awards

Thandie Newton in Louis Vuitton - 2013 BAFTA AwardsThandie Newton must have been in a seductive mood, as she hit the red carpet at Sunday’s 2013 BAFTA Awards, held at London’s Royal Opera House.

The British actress followed the lace trend with her black Louis Vuitton halter gown.

She also capitalized on that frequently seen thigh-high slit, not to mention the sheer and solid obsession, as the itty bitty LBD was overlaid with see-through laciness.

Thandie paired the dress with a black handbag and gold Art-Deco-inspired earrings.

A bold red lip and tightly wound, side-swept curls finished this vamp-star look, although the overall effect may have translated more sleekly with a simple updo.

Thandie Newton In Isabel Marant – ‘One Billion Rising’ London Photocall

Thandie Newton In Isabel Marant - 'One Billion Rising' London Photocall

Thandie Newton worked a gamine chic look to promote One Billion Rising, a global movement aimed at ending violence towards women, at ICA in London yesterday.

The British actress looked effortlessly cool in a black Isabel Marant suit paired with a vintage flower print shirt.

Everything looked great…until my eyes hit the shoes.

The colour and style of these Burberry boots ruined this look for me.

The cropped pant’s silhouette fit awkwardly over these heavy-looking boots. I would have styled this suit with a pair of ankle boots, or better yet, a simple pointy toe pump to feminize this masculine ensemble.
