Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Marion Cotillard horrified us all when she wore this Christian Dior Fall 2010 dress to the ‘Les Petits Mouchoirs’ Paris Premiere last month.

I still have nightmares over the hair, make-up and her squashed twins.

She wasn’t the graceful Marion we’ve all come to love.

Model Daisy Lowe wore the same dress to the private viewing of “Dior Illustrated: Rene Gruau And The Line Of Beauty” in London last night.

She paired her dress with tights and Christian Dior Cavaliere platform ankle boots.

No question I’m giving this to Daisy, even with my pet peeves ankle boots and tights.

The 2010 BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards took place last night with many of our favourite stars hitting the red carpet.

As fashion lovers we are still in trying to get over Marion Cotillard’s previous red carpet look, but she made an improvement last night.

The French actress proved that it was a one-off by dazzling on the red carpet wearing an Elie Saab dress.

Her shimmering powder blue dress with a draped sleeve was paired with black Jimmy Choo ‘Neptune’ sandals and a black clutch.

I like the dress, love the red lippie but I’m not fond of the accessories.

We know Marion’s can do better, but I do like how she showed off a bit of her personality with a quirky quiff updo.

When I was reviewing pictures from the ‘Les Petits Mouchoirs’ Paris Premiere today, I assumed the picture agencies had made a mistake because I refused to believe that Marion Cotillard could ever look this bad.

Unfortunately they and I were right.

It is Marion and she does look really bad.

I’ve been looking over other pictures of Marion because I’m trying to figure out where those two air bags came from.

Marion’s Christian Dior Fall 2010 leather strapless dress doesn’t work for her as it’s way too tight on her chest.

I’m also not crazy about her hair

Here’s some who knows how to rep designers from her own country on an international stage.

Marion Cotillard opted to wear a dress by French duo Lefranc Ferrant at the 2010 Toronto Film Festival this weekend.

She’s in town to promote her new movie “Little White Lies”.

Her LBD from Lefranc Ferrant’s Fall 2009 Couture collection is very simple apart from the flap detail on her shoulder.

Because this look is so simple I’m guessing Marion tried to add an edge to her look, by pairing her dress with Dior buckled ankle boots.

Not something I would’ve picked, but she’s making it work for her.

Marion Cotillard is the August 2010 cover star for ‘Interview’ magazine.

Her interview was conducted by her ‘Nine’ costar Nicole Kidman. They discuss Congo and Marion’s life as a jet-set actress and environmentalist.

Mikarl Jansson shot Marion who looks like a goddess wearing sultry ensembles by Christian Dior, Giles, Alberta Ferretti and Nina Ricci.

For some reason she’s in various states of undress and doesn’t wear any pants in her entire editorial, yet the mood is not sleazy.

It hits the perfect balance between being exposed and being clothed.

Here are some extracts from her interview with Nicole. You can read more at InterviewMagazine.com

On being an environmentalist and a jetset actress: “It’s a paradox to be an actress, living in the city, taking planes all the time, trying to find the right balance in this life, which is not so eco-friendly, and still try to respect the environment.” Read more…

With a lot of stars like Sienna Miller & Jude Law enjoying summer vacations, the red carpet had been a bit quiet this week.

You guys loved Marion Cotillard’s Christian Dior Resort 2011 dress which she wore to the “Inception” Paris Premiere.

It was a great look – much improved from the London Premiere – but my pick was Jada Pinkett-Smith in Stella McCartney.

She may have been your 5th choice, but she was the only one who wowed me in a pretty lackluster week.

May of you said the look would’ve been better with sandals – which I agree with – but she still blew me away.
