Lady Gaga In Balmain - Out In New York

We know that Lady Gaga has an obsession with Saint Laurent, but it would also appear that Balmain is steadily becoming one of her go-to brands too.

Yesterday the singer was spotting wearing her second look of the day courtesy of the Balmain Fall 2013 collection.

The bold-shouldered heavily embellished long-sleeved keyhole top was styled with black pants and butt-high suede boots, giving her Alaïa ankle boots a break.

I much prefer this over her second look. The top has plenty of detail to keep me interested, but I’m still waiting for Gaga to shock me.

Perhaps she’s saving that moment for the MTV Music Awards, which take place this Sunday.

Lady Gaga In Mila Schon - Out In New York City

Lady Gaga was spotted leaving her New York apartment on what appeared to be a sunny day in the city.

So it beggars belief that she would opt for a leather catsuit.

The singer, who is now working a honey-coloured curly wig, wore a high-neck Mila Schon Fall 2013 leather catsuit, which slightly differs from the runway version as her look didn’t have the lantern sleeves.

As the star is so petite, the pants ruche below the knee, further adding to the heaviness of the look.

Alaïa booties and her favourite Tom Ford sunnies completed her look.

Do you admire this bold look, or is she plain crazy for wearing a leather catsuit on a sunny day?

Lady Gaga Loves Saint Laurent

Lady Gaga is back in action promoting her new single, ‘Applause,’ and so, too, is her make-you-look style. In just the past few days, the chameleonic, newly blondish entertainer has made nearly too many costume (and beauty) changes to count.

Even so, Mother Monster could not hide her recent sartorial love fest with Saint Laurent, which found her in four looks from the label last week. Creative director Hedi Slimane has imparted grunge appeal and a tough edge to the collections, also relying on one of his top muses: music. It’s no wonder the songstress is going gaga for his dark, moody entrances.

She kicked off her Saint Laurent streak with a black tuxedo jacket with metal piping, paired with a crepe de chine blouse and leather-and-silk georgette pleated skirt. It could all seem a bit safe for the likes of Lady Gaga, but towering platform boots, splattered multicolour ‘Applause’ makeup and wet-look hair break the rules enough.

Again not washing off the face paint, the singer wore a toned-down black silk gown with lace sleeves from the Spring 2013 collection.

She left her newfound restraint at home for her third Saint Laurent outing. Showing that her standard shock factor is still in order, her Fall 2013 crystal, sheer lace jumpsuit is the body-bearing, boundaries-pushing outrageousness that has Gaga branded all over it. An Alexander McQueen studded ‘Heroine’ bag proved a worthy companion, even if no one was looking at it. You may remember that Kate Moss wore a slightly more conservative rendition of the glittery catsuit.

Finishing out her Saint Laurent style file, she put on a Pre-Fall 2013 black leather studded tube dress with black ‘Janis’ lace-up boots, finished off with long, straight locks and funky, circular shades.

Do you like Lady Gaga’s semi-goth, raven-haired run last week?

Lady Gaga In Balmain - Howard Stern Show

Lady Gaga was out in New York City again yesterday, working her fourth look of the day while making a guest appearance on the Howard Stern show.

I know what you are thinking. She is very dressed up for a radio interview – but this is Lady Gaga we are talking about here.

Wearing her second Balmain Fall 2013 look of the day, she wore a mohair structured high-neck sweater with silk white pants and the same wide gold belt from her previous look.

I feel going on about the season inappropriateness of this look is just moot, so I will say that of all her looks from Monday this is my least favourite as I feel that it overwhelms her petite frame and feels so heavy.

For someone who is being showered with so many pieces from McQueen, Balenciaga, and custom pieces from Mathieu Mirano, she keeps wearing the same Tom Ford sunglasses and Alaïa boots. I hope she starts to mix things up in the accessories department.

Lady Gaga In Balmain - Z100 Radio

It’s mid-afternoon in the US and Lady Gaga is already on her third look of the day following two looks for both her arrival and appearance on ‘Good Morning America’.

The next stop on her promo tour for her new single ‘Applause’, which had its video debut on GMA, was Z100 music station in New York City.

Between venues, Gaga changed into a Balmain Fall 2013 look featuring a black draped-and-pleated long-sleeved top with bold Dynasty-esque shoulders that was cinched in with a metallic-gold belt styled with a purple tulip-shaped mini skirt.

Her go-to staples – Alaia boots and Tom Ford shades – returned for this rock-inspired 80s look.

Lady Gaga In Mathieu Mirano - Good Morning America

Lady Gaga’s legions of fans took to Times Square this morning for her guest appearance on ‘Good Morning America’.

Following her sombre arrival, the singer changed into a look that can only be described as typically Gaga-esque with a Lady Di ‘do.

She wore a custom-made Mathieu Mirano warped white jacket with cape-like winged details and asymmetrical cuts with matching hot pants and gloves; the outfit showcases the levels of construction skill, craft and imagination that the talented 22-year-old New-York-based designer is known for.

No Gaga look would be complete without some platform shoes, so she donned a pair of taupe suede Alaia booties.

I was starting to think Lady Gaga had gone soft until I saw this look. Are you glad to see her back?
