Tilda Swinton In Chanel – ‘Isle of Dogs’ Berlinale International Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Tilda Swinton was on top form for the 68th Berlinale International Film Festival in Berlin, Germany this evening (February 15), where she took to the red carpet for the opening ceremony and ‘Isle of Dogs’ premiere alongside Greta Gerwig.

There is no doubt this Chanel Pre-Fall 2018 androgynous look is very much in tune with Tilda’s style, but I feel like I have exhausted my excitement over this when Keira Knightley wore a similar look during Sundance Film Festival.

Some said Keira’s look (number 72) resembled a Charlie Chaplin costume, but would you tag the same label to Tilda’s look (number 73)?

Toni Garrn In BOSS – ‘Isle of Dogs’ Berlinale International Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Toni Garrn was back home for the 68th Berlinale International Film Festival in Berlin, Germany this evening (February 15), where she took to the red carpet for the opening ceremony and ‘Isle of Dogs’ premiere.

This time last year, I was having heart palpitations and adding her gold BOSS look to my BDOTY list, this time around I’m admiring how she shimmered the night away in her chic monochrome sequined BOSS look, even though I didn’t get a repeat of the butterflies.

While I found Toni’s sleek accessories courtesy of Bulgari’s jewels sufficient, I feel it may not be enough to keep many intrigued.

Emilia Schuele In Christian Dior – ‘Isle of Dogs’ Berlinale International Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Emilia Schuele joined Greta Gerwig for the ‘Isle of Dogs’ premiere which served as the opening ceremony for the 68th Berlinale International Film Festival in Berlin, Germany this evening (February 15).

She looked beautiful wearing a rust hued Christian Dior Resort 2018 bustier dress, which showcased modern romance.

Yes, there is a strong case of déjà vu here, but that boils down to this signature style having been worn in several guises since this collection was first presented, and the fact that this dress has already been worn by Juno Temple.

Is it time for Dior to shelved the Resort 2018 collection?

Angourie Rice In Miu Miu – ‘Every Day’ LA Premiere

Angourie Rice struck a pose at the ‘Every Day’ LA premiere on Tuesday (February 13).

The Australian actress donned a Miu Miu Spring 2018 dress which was a striking mix of youthful joy and refined elegance courtesy of the red lace fabric and gently flared skirt.

She opted for a simpler version, removing the belt and white top from the runway. The decision allowed the detailed fabric to become the focus and gave the outfit a put-together ease suitable for someone of her 17 years.

Rather than a neutral lining, she stuck with the white half-lining from the original, which added a freshness to rich red.

Jennifer Jason Leigh In Rodarte – ‘Annihilation’ LA Premiere

Jennifer Jason Leigh is our final look at the stellar cast for Alex Garland’s new fantasy thriller ‘Annihilation’, which has generated buzz for featuring a diverse cast of mainly women, which includes Tessa Thompson, Janelle Monae, Gina Rodriguez and Natalie Portman, who all attended the LA premiere on Tuesday (February 13) in Westwood, California.

With a mix of macramé lace and tulle, Rodarte achieve sensual after-dark glamour with this all-black Spring 2017 dress speckled with brown and yellow tulle.

Some might frown at the 56-year-old actress going down the sheer trend path, but I love how the feminine lace skirt is tempered with heavier bodice to epitomise feminine allure without the look feeling tacky.

If I look this good at 56-years-young in a semi sheer lace dress, I will be a very happy woman.

Tessa Thompson In Naeem Khan – ‘Annihilation’ LA Premiere

For me, Tessa Thompson was the star attraction on the red carpet for the ‘Annihilation’ premiere on Tuesday (February 13) in Westwood, California, where she joined Janelle Monae, Gina Rodriguez and Natalie Portman.

We all know Tessa as a bit of a fashion daredevil who likes to take risks, but much like the ‘Thor’ premiere, she showcased her softer side for this premiere.

Soft, yet still oozing with plenty of sartorial grace.

My reaction was two-fold:

1. Thankful she opted to line the gown and;

2. Thankful she didn’t strip any of the beguiling details from this look.

It’s not easy to make a girlie girl gown look cool, but Tessa managed to nail it once again.

Janelle Monae In Armani Privé – ‘Annihilation’ LA Premiere

Janelle Monae joined Gina Rodriguez and Natalie Portman for the premiere of Paramount Pictures’ ‘Annihilation’ on Tuesday (February 13) in Westwood, California.

I already feel that the sheer top will throw many off Janelle’s Armani Privé Fall 2016 look, but my immediate thought as how the blue Robert Clergerie boots and fuchsia pink lip kept me interested and injected some vibrancy into her look.

I was also pleased that the over styling we saw at the ‘Black Panther’ LA premiere was tamed for a complementary Lee Savage clutch, bauble earrings and Saint. Germaine leather hat.
