Adriana Lima In Alice + Olivia – ‘American Beauty Star’ New York Premiere

Adriana Lima was a vision in white at the ‘American Beauty Star’ New York premiere on Tuesday (September 19).

The supermodel is known for her smoldering red-carpet style, but here, she put a lighter spin on the sultry appeal with this Alice + Olivia Resort 2018 dress that was the picture of chic femininity.

That’s not to say the beautiful, off-the-shoulder neckline wasn’t plenty seductive, with the ruffled hemline providing a flirty finish.

Bringing the velvet trend to her footwear, she finished the look with Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Harmony velvet sandals and a bold, coral-red lip so as to up the glamour quotient.

Sophie Cookson In Christopher Kane -‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ London Premiere

Sophie Cookson joined Halle Berry, Julianne Moore and Jenna Dewan Tatum at the ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ London premiere on Monday (September 18).

Favouring a moody, sheer ensemble like Halle, Sophie donned a Christopher Kane Fall 2017 dress. The prim ankle-length silhouette and foiled tulle were contrasted by a sheer top and skirt.

As the dress isn’t lined, I would have liked to see a few more foiled bands at the top of the skirt so it wasn’t quite so naked looking.

The dark elegance was enhanced with black sandals finished with ruffles on the heels.

‘Woodshock’ LA Premiere

The ‘Woodshock’ premiere on Monday (September 18) in LA was a fantastical affair with attendees supporting designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy’s directorial debut in Rodarte.

Tessa Thompson: A frequent wearer of Rodarte, the actress-musician stayed true to form in a Rodarte Fall 2017 lace dress. The whimsical factor was enhanced with Yael Sonia jewels and Charlotte Olympia ‘Wild At Heart’ platform sandals. The finishing touch was a crown of blue flowers nestled in her updo.

Kirsten Dunst: Naturally, the longtime Rodarte devotee and ‘Woodshock’ star, donned Rodarte for the premiere. Some might have issues with the sheer dress from Spring 2018, but I find the diaphanous fabric helps tame the sweetness of the ruffles and sparkles. I also love the way Kirsten nodded to the runway version with a floral sprig in her blonde waves. Forevermark jewels completed her look.

Rowan Blanchard: Finishing the Rodarte trifecta, the young actress wore a shimmering Fall 2017 dress. If I had to nitpick, I find that the Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Gwyneth’ sandals distract slightly from the shimmering dress because of the black, whereas the coordinating clutch was more successful. Still, it was another successful look for the Rodarte fan.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Although many fellows were at the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 17), a few others were hopping about to their own respective premieres and events.

Pedro Pascal: Pedro walked the line in his Ermenegildo Zegna Couture felt suit that offered a linear twist on tradition at the London premiere of ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ on Monday (September 18).

Dave Franco: Dave had me at hello at the ‘The LEGO Ninjago Movie’ premiere in Carlsbad, California on Saturday (September 16). With a nod to retro inspiration gone modern, he looked sharp in his Salvatore Ferragamo suit styled with a playful, bear-print Band of Outsiders shirt and Christian Louboutin ‘Cousin Greg’ shoes.

Colin Firth: Also at the ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ premiere, Colin carried the classic torch in his Tom Ford suit that fit him like a glove. Plus, he gets bonus points for the geek-handsome glasses.

Constance Wu In Luisa Beccaria – ‘The LEGO Ninjago Movie’ Premiere

Constance Wu joined Olivia Munn for the premiere of ‘The LEGO Ninjago Movie’ in Carlsbad, California on Saturday (September 16).

Like Olivia, Constance went for an ultra-feminine, pastel-centric look in her primrose-yellow Luisa Beccaria Resort 2018 point d’espirit, plisse dress.

Like a lemony meringue confection, it had a sense of wispy sense of lightness and girlie ethereality, but the actress added a quirky edge with her gold Stuart Weitzman platforms.

She rounded out the look with an Edie Parker clutch and Maya Brenner jewels. I just wonder if the fit of the bodice couldn’t have been a tad better.

Maria Sharapova In David Koma – ‘Battle Of The Sexes’ LA Premiere

Joining Emma Stone, Maria Sharapova was also holding court at the LA premiere of ‘Battle Of The Sexes’ on Saturday (September 16) in Westwood, California.

By lining this ruffled macramé and satin frock from the David Koma Fall 2017 collection, she took the diagonal-cut mini down a sweeter, girlie route as opposed to more overt sexiness.

But that didn’t mean there wasn’t plenty of sassy fun to go around, which she amped up even more with sultry Nicholas Kirkwood ‘Leda’ pumps and a cherry-red lip.

There were mixed feelings about Emma’s look, so how does this one measure up?
