Julianne Moore In Rodarte – ‘Maps To The Stars’ New York Film Festival Premiere

Julianne Moore In Rodarte - 'Maps To The Stars' New York Film Festival Premiere

Julianne Moore attended the ‘Maps to the Stars’ premiere held during the 52nd New York Film Festival at Alice Tully Hall on Saturday (September 27) in New York City.

The actress wore a black Rodarte Fall 2014 glitter, velvet, silk-chiffon and tulle dress enriched with Swarovski crystals.

By this point I should be stressing that this is yet another black gown from Julianne, but much like her Giambattista Valli Couture gown, this is yet another masterstroke from the actress. She looks composed and confident, oozing glamour from head to toe.

Possibly too heavy for some with the asymmetrically draped velvet fabric, I love the overall mystical direction she has taken lately.

Reese Witherspoon In Calvin Klein – ‘Gone Girl’ World Premiere

Reese Witherspoon In Calvin Klein - 'Gone Girl' World Premiere

Reese Witherspoon attended the opening night gala presentation and world premiere of ‘Gone Girl’ during the 52nd New York Film Festival at Alice Tully Hall on Friday (September 26) in New York City.

The actress was lovely in a red lacquer halter dress from the Calvin Klein Spring 2015 Collection paired with the restrained sparkle of select Fred Leighton jewels that was echoed in her gold metallic sandals.

The frock fit like a glove and the overall effect was stunning in its simplicity. No need to overdo things, with a matching red lip not even required on this occasion. The lighter blush-nude lip colour did just fine.

Glossy side-swept barrel curls were just the right finish for this glamorously modern entrance.

Her red-carpet roll continues, as Reese continues to dress to impress.

Vicki Zhao 赵薇 In Alberta Ferretti & Alexander McQueen – ‘Dearest’ Press Conference & Premiere

Vicki Zhao In Alberta Ferretti & Alexander McQueen - 'Dearest' Press Conference & Premiere

Vicki Zhao attended the press conference and premiere of her latest project, ‘Dearest’, in China on Tuesday (September 23).

Press Conference: The actress wore a beautiful Alberta Ferretti Resort 2015 lavender frock enriched with a colourful sequin pattern, which she styled with Tasaki jewelry and a pair of gorgeous ruby Louboutin pumps. I’m glad she didn’t let us down in the footwear department; this vibrant look deserved a vivid shoe.

Premiere: Perhaps using up her colour quota at the press conference, her premiere look was void of colour. Keeping it simple and chic, the actress wore a black Alexander McQueen mini dress styled with gold Louboutin pumps and a selection of Pomellato jewels. The accessories, including the metal belt, prevent this from being a snooze.

Noomi Rapace In Emilio Pucci – ‘Automata ‘San Sebastian Film Festival

Noomi Rapace In Emilio Pucci - 'Automata 'San Sebastian Film Festival

Noomi Rapace attended the ‘Automata’ premiere during the 62nd San Sebastian International Film Festival held at the Kursaal Palace in Spain on Sunday (September 21).

I always find myself swooning upon sight of a velvet suit in a bold hue during fall, but I didn’t find myself doing that on this occasion.

The fit is the issue. This Emilio Pucci fuchsia suit, especially the blazer, feels like it is too big for Noomi, plus I’m not crazy about the styling.

Perhaps my view of this look has been slightly blurred by Lily Aldridge, who you may remember wore this same suit in a red hue earlier this month with significantly greater success.

Lea Seydoux In Miu Miu – ‘Saint Laurent’ Paris Premiere

Lea Seydoux In Miu Miu - 'Saint Laurent' Paris Premiere

Lea Seydoux was back on the red carpet yesterday evening (September 23) for the ‘Saint Laurent’ premiere held at Centre Pompidou in Paris, France.

You will not be surprised to see the French beauty wearing Miu Miu, as she has alternated between Miu Miu and Prada since being the face of the Miu Miu Resort 2014 campaign.

I love this chic military-style offering – as you know, I am not team Miu Miu/Prada when it comes to their red carpet pieces, but this ivory mock-neck Resort 2015 dress enriched with Swarovski crystal embroideries and metal buttons is simply gorgeous, modern, stylish and elegant.

This dress has so much to offer that the addition of the orange embellished Miu Miu Plexiglas box clutch and Miu Miu orange suede peep-toe platforms serves as a bonus.
