Josh O’Connor Wore Dior To The ‘Disclosure Day’ Paris Premiere
Josh O’Connor attended the Disclosure Day premiere in Paris on Tuesday, joining his co-star Emily Blunt on the red carpet.
The British actor was back in Dior and, perhaps more surprisingly, back in a Dior tailcoat – two things I previously suggested I would be happy to see less of from Josh. Yet this outing managed to change the conversation.
That is because what initially reads as a traditional tailcoat is actually a cable-knit cardigan cut with the proportions and silhouette of formal eveningwear. It instantly shifts the familiar narrative into something far more distinctive, blending classic tailoring references with the relaxed texture of knitwear.
The red carpet photographs don’t fully capture the intricacy of the piece, but video footage reveal the cable-knit detailing running throughout the garment, bringing a level of craftsmanship that might otherwise go unnoticed.
The contrast between the soft, textured cardigan and the fluid charcoal-grey tailoring underneath is what makes the look work. Together, the elements created a look that felt less prescribed than some of Josh’s previous Dior appearances.
Styled with Dior Medaillon loafers and a Cartier timepiece, the accessories remained understated, allowing the cardigan to remain the focal point. It was another Dior look from Josh O’Connor, yes, but this time it felt refreshingly different.
