Elizabeth Olsen In Marc Jacobs & Miu Miu – ‘Wind River’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Elizabeth Olsen was in attendance at the ‘Wind River’ photocall and the premiere of ‘The Square,’ both on Saturday (May 20) during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival.

Photocall: This Marc Jacobs Fall 2017 patterned dress had something of an identity crisis. Part of it was firmly rooted in winter with its dark, metallic colour palette, turtleneck and long, puff sleeves; while its super-short silhouette was all sun and legs. She styled the look with Monica Vinader jewels and Nicholas Kirkwood heels. However, a nude or brushed metallic shoe might have helped lighten the mood.

Premiere: I can’t say I was crazy about her second look either. The rosy glow of this embellished Miu Miu gown held promise. But, between the droop sleeves, the shoulder pads, and the plunge, it had an overcooked flavour that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Chopard jewels completed the look.

Tilda Swinton In Haider Ackermann – ‘Okja’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall

I know Jessica Chastain and Fan Bingbing are the official ones-to-watch during Cannes festival, but I would add Tilda Swinton to that list too.

The actress joined co-star Lily Collins for the ‘Okja’ photocall this afternoon (May 19) wearing Haider Ackermann.

This is how you dress your muse. Others should take note.

Tailored to the chicest proportions with a nipped-in waist, this serves as a timeless, yet modern and sophisticated take on suiting.

The colour is so fresh, the style is so elegant that I’m beyond excited to see her look for this evening.

Lily Collins In Johanna Ortiz – ‘Okja’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall

I was very excited to see the arrival of Lily Collins during Cannes Film Festival today (May 19) for the ‘Okja’ photocall.

Let’s face it, Cannes has been a bit lukewarm, and while I was over optimistic in thinking Michelle Williams would give us a jaw-dropping moment, I’m confident Miss Collins will deliver.

She started the day looking elegant and feminine bringing a dose of Latin flair to the French Riviera wearing Johanna Ortiz.

I love how her Spring 2017 look marries a shoulder-baring piece featuring irregular seaming to create unexpected volume, with a sleek sequin ruffled skirt.

Sequins for a daytime photocall? Yes. Do I have to remind you that is Cannes?

This is how you serve up a summertime look with contemporary sophistication.

Bravo Lily.

Julianne Moore In Sonia Rykiel & Chanel Couture – ‘Wonderstruck’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

While Michelle Williams was racking up a LV double, Julianne Moore was also setting her own path by opting for two French brands for the ‘Wonderstruck’ photocall and premiere during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival today (May 18).

Photocall: Green and red has always been fruitful red carpet combination for Julianne and this leafy Sonia Rykiel Spring 2017 dress was no different. Despite the bold hue, the look is relatively understated, offering a modern take on the classic shirt dress with timeless appeal. The look was styled with Gianvito Rossi ‘Coco’ sandals.

Premiere: Much like green and red, Julianne and Chanel have always produced awe-inspiring results. I was already swept away by the embellishments, but feathers always adds an additional eye-catching allure. Gianvito Rossi ‘Portofino’ sandals and Chopard jewels induced more shimmer and shine.

Jeanne Balibar In Jacquemus – ‘Barbara’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Jeanne Balibar attended the ‘Barbara’ photocall during the 70th annual Cannes Film Festival this afternoon (May 18).

Simon Porte of Jacquemus loves to deconstruct – then reimagine – traditional styles, and that was definitely the case when he imagined the silhouette of this top causing the overlay to expand passed the shoulders.

This was a confident choice for Jeanne, however, the look kinda ran out of steam below the waistline.

I’m going to assume she didn’t opt for blue trousers to prevent this look having a nuns habit vibe, but I’m not feeling the black trousers on this occasion.

Jacquemus block heel pumps rounded out the look.
