Michelle Pfeiffer In Dolce & Gabbana – ‘Mother!’ Venice Film Festival Photocall

Michelle Pfeiffer joined Jennifer Lawrence this afternoon (September 5) for the ‘Mother!’ photocall during Venice Film Festival.

The product of exquisite Italian craftsmanship, her Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2017 dress it’s cut to a beautiful svelte silhouette with a nipped-in waist.

Adorned with the brands signature rose print, I’m happy to see Michelle – who tends to favour suits or all black – step out of her comfort-zone.

Jennifer Lawrence In Giambattista Valli – ‘Mother!’ Venice Film Festival Photocall

I was excited to see Jennifer Lawrence back on the red carpet this afternoon (September 5), promoting her new film, ‘Mother!’ during Venice Film Festival.

Opting not to wear Dior, the actress wore a Giambattista Valli Resort 2018 delicate lace dress with a pretty pink underlay.

What it lacks in thrills and youthful finesse, it more than makes up for in feminine elegance.

I’m not sure that this will be a crowd-pleaser, but I have to say I love the ease of it all.

Matilda de Angelis In Fendi & Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini – ‘Una Famiglia’ Venice Film Festival Premiere

Italian actress Matilda de Angelis was at the photocall and premiere for ‘Una Famiglia’ during the Venice Film Festival on Monday (September 4).

Photocall: In a look that combined a retro sensibility with ladylike-punk flair, Matilda wore this Fendi Resort 2018 ensemble that certainly stood out for its boldness of form and bright cotton-candy-pink hue. I can only assume the hair was purposefully mussed-up to echo the slightly rebellious femininity that was offered here—a world in which those Fendi platforms also fit the bill.

Premiere: If she was wearing a mood ring, it would have completely changed colours with her second look, a mint-green Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini gown that saw her floating in a softly romantic cloud of tulle. Mullet gowns aren’t always the most well-received, but this explosion of froth with its nearly impossible number of layers swept away the red carpet with hints of fancifulness. I might have opted for a metallic shoe as opposed to the black sandal, although they did provide an interesting counterpoint to her raven locks. Delfina Delettrez jewels completed the look.

Jennifer Carpenter In Wai Ming & Sally LaPointe – ‘Brawl In Cell Block 99’ Venice Film Festival Premiere

Jennifer Carpenter promoted her new film, ‘Brawl in Cell Block 99’ during the 74th Venice International Film Festival on Saturday (September 2), offering autumnal looks with sleek foundations.

Photocall: Pairing a Wai Ming top with J Brand ‘Selena’ cropped jeans felt effortless with a cool edge thanks to her studded mules.

Premiere: Cut to the evening and the actress has dialed up the glamour wearing a Sally LaPointe Spring 2017 dress with, yep, more feathers, which Jennifer opted to wear without the leather corset we saw on the runway. Tacori jewels and Nicholas Kirwood ‘Maeva’ sandals completed her look.

Helen Mirren In Sassi Holford – The Leisure Seeker (Ella & John) Venice Film Festival Premiere

Dame Helen Mirren graced Venice Film Festival with her regal presence on Sunday (September 3).

Photocall: Ordinarily a top-handle bag would feel too much for a photocall, but methinks she said to herself, “what would her majesty do?” then opted for the Dolce & Gabanna ‘Monica’ bag which coordinated effortlessly with her fancy, floral frock.

Premiere: The British actress joined her co-star Donald Sutherland and Susan Sarandon for the premiere, opting for a more sedate approach to red carpet dressing in Sassi Holford. Sadly, I really dislike the gown. It does nothing to enhance her beauty, it feels really dated and the quality of the material is questionable. She can do so much better.

Julianne Moore In Louis Vuitton & Valentino Couture – ‘Suburbicon’ Venice Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Julianne Moore joined George Clooney and Matt Damon for the ‘Suburbicon’ photocall and premiere, which took place during the 74th Annual Venice Film Festival today (September 2).

Photocall: Judging from her previous look, whimsy was the red carpet M.O. for Julianne during the photocalls for this festival. Her Louis Vutton Resort 2018 dress featuring a Kabuki-inspired embroidery added a fun, characterful element to her look. I would’ve loved a lighter sandal here.

Premiere: I have desperately been trying to find something to love about this Valentino Fall 2017 Couture look, but I failed. Yes, even with shimmering eyelash fringing and emerald Chopard jewels that complemented her layered crop, the look fell a little flat. I’m disappointed because I expected a bit more for this event. Looking at this, the best analogy I can give you to describe this look is – driving with the handbrake on.
