Isabelle Huppert Wore Balenciaga To ‘The Blood Countess’ Berlin Film Festival Photocall & Premiere
When it comes to European film festivals, it is only a matter of time before Isabelle Huppert graces the festivities with her presence and poise, and that moment arrived on Monday at the 2026 Berlin Film Festival for The Blood Countess photocall and premiere.

Photocall
The Balenciaga ambassador wore a look from Pierpaolo Piccioliâs Spring 2026 collection. The sculptural tunic and streamlined trousers delivered the precise, intellectual sharpness we associate with her, but the off-white gloves just didnât land. I understand they were likely mandatory, yet the cream tone sits slightly out of sync with the cooler ivory of the ensemble. Either commit to a fully tonal ivory story or lose the gloves altogether would be my preference. As presented, they disrupt the otherwise immaculate line of the look.

Premiere
I was far more enamoured with her second Balenciaga look for the premiere. From the sweeping cloak to the black leather gloves and pale makeup, paired with razor sharp tailoring, this felt perfectly calibrated, delivering full vampire energy in the best possible way. Given the filmâs title, the gothic undertone felt clever rather than contrived. On theme without tipping into caricature, the crisp white shirt and tie sharpened the severity, while the dramatic cape added scale and theatre. Â Perfectly austere, exacting, and completely in command. I adored this from head to toe.
Stylist: Jonathan Huguet.
