"Mad Max: Fury Road" Photocall - The 68th Annual Cannes Film Festival
The stars of ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ were at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival for the photocall and premiere of the film on Thursday (May 14) in Cannes, France, where the two British studs coordinated their looks to handsome effect.

Tom Hardy: Standing with Charlize Theron by his side at the photocall, Tom wore a monochromatic Alexander McQueen suit with matching dress shirt that worked out to be a likeable look for him. The partially unbuttoned shirt, necklace, and buzz cut of course hinted at his bad-boy charm.

Nicholas Hoult: Also dressed in a navy colour scheme for the photocall, the actor wore his Dior Homme suit with laidback ease, likewise skipping the tie but adding another layer of polish with a crisp white dress shirt, pocket square, and black loafers. He should always wear blue, given its effect on his piercing eyes.

Cannes Film Festival Menswear Roundup
It was hard to remove my gaze from the breathtaking gowns at on the first day, Wednesday (May 13), of the 2015 Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France, but a handful of menswear looks were worthy of mention.

Xavier Dolan: The French-Canadian actor cut a striking profile in his blue Louis Vuitton double-breasted suit paired with a black-and-white chequered sweater. It’s a perfect look for the Jury photocall, as it projects a coolly suave edge without even trying. You may remember that the suit was previously worn by Michiel Huisman.

John Legend: Attending the opening ceremony and premiere of ‘La Tete Haute,’ the singer couldn’t have looked more handsome in his traditional black Gucci tuxedo, making a solid argument for the power of a classic tux worn in superior fashion.

Jake Gyllenhaal: The actor was also at the opening ceremony and premiere and likewise catching plenty of stares for being well-dressed in a dark Tom Ford tuxedo and bow tie, even if I also like to see him in blues to bring out his steely stare.

Nicholas Hoult & Tom Hardy In Alexander McQueen – ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ LA Premiere

Nicholas Hoult & Tom Hardy In Alexander McQueen - ‘Mad Max Fury Road’ LA Premiere

Nicholas Hoult and Tom Hardy joined a host of lovely ladies including Charlize Theron and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for the premiere of ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ at TCL Chinese Theatre on Thursday (May 7) in Hollywood, California.

Both British actors, as if by coincidence, wore Alexander McQueen.

Nicholas Hoult: Burgundy is fast becoming the new alternative to black and navy. I like how this wholesome debonair look was styled with a pattern tie, but its his blue eyes which are the most striking feature here.

Tom Hardy: Even with the buzz cut and overgrown facial hair, Tom’s Alexander McQueen look is still focused on sharp precision and impeccable tailoring.

James Marsden In Dolce & Gabbana & Etro – The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon & ‘The D Train’ New York Premiere

James Marsden In Dolce & Gabbana & Etro - The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon & 'The D Train' New York Premiere

James Marsden was easily one of the best dressed guys at the Met Gala on Monday night, and that great form continued throughout the week in New York City where he promoted his latest movie, ‘The D Train’.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon: This is, without question, my favourite menswear look of 2015. Looking impeccably well-groomed, James served up modern suavity in his three-piece plum Dolce & Gabbana suit styled with a matching Dolce shoes and an IWC timepiece. I’m sure the colour wins me over ultimately, but one can’t help swooning at the tailoring of this Italian masterpiece.

‘The D Train’ New York Premiere: Flaunting a plaid pattern in blue, black and grey hues, this slim fit Etro Fall 2015 suit has plenty of head-turning sophistication. I love pop of aqua blue courtesy of his socks and his continual fearless approach to red carpet dressing.

2015 Met Gala Menswear Roundup

Met Men Matt

With the tidal wave of gowns and tonnes of sparkling embellishment at the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ 2015 Met Gala, hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4), the guys’ looks were a handsome, albeit less extravagant, accessory to the girls. Rather than attempting to accomplish the Chinese theme, some of the men reverted to safer, traditional tux territory while others bravely went in the direction of the East.

Robert Pattinson: This is the Robert Pattinson I like to see—polished and handsome without losing his edgy, bad-boy charm. His elegant Dior Homme three-piece tuxedo was one of my favourite men’s looks of the night.

James Marsden: The actor infused another layer into his Ermenegildo Zegna ensemble, elevating the look with a cream jacket paired with a white tuxedo shirt and black trousers.

Matt Bomer: Showing off the power of the classics, he was dapper in a dark Giorgio Armani suit and bow tie popped with the hint of colour in his pocket square.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Before we close the week, here is a final look at the menswear options we have been blessed with courtesy of these fine gentlemen.

Michiel Huisman: ‘The Age of Adaline’ actor promoted his new movie on ‘Good Morning America’ the day after his co-star Blake Lively. Creating a splash in a much more muted manner, he donned a blue Salvatore Ferragamo look, which was utterly timeless and steeped in a suavity guaranteed to make me swoon. The look was complete with Lucchese Fico tan boots.

Michael B Jordan: The actor was looking as sharp as ever, going the extra mile by spicing up his look with a graphic print Public School blazer, while attending the 2015 CinemaCon ‘Pioneer of the Year’ dinner alongside Kate Mara. If this print is giving you a case of déjà vu, that’s because Hilary Duff owns a coat by the same designer with the same print.

Armie Hammer: Also going down the sleek Salvatore Ferragamo route for the CinemaCon 2015, the actor had an immaculately tailored moment working shades of grey with a hint of blue and brown for good measure. Shame about the beard though.
