‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1′ London Premiere Menswear Roundup

'The Hunger Games Mockingjay – Part 1' Menswear Roundup

We’ve seen what the leading ladies wore for the world premiere of ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1′ held at Odeon Leicester Square on Monday (November 10) in London, England, so here’s a quick roundup of the leading men.

Liam Hemsworth: Decked out in a Dolce & Gabbana, the actor looked very handsome wearing a classic three-piece suit with a polka dot pocket square. I hope he serves up some variation in his suiting this time around. I’m not holding my breath.

Josh Hutcherson: Now this is more like it. Josh electrified the red carpet wearing a cobalt-blue Ralph Lauren Black Label suit styled with Christian Louboutin shoes.

Sam Claflin: Usually the one I look to for his unique take on mens red carpet dressing, as he tends to steer away from opting for just black all the time, I am surprised by how much I didn’t like this Prada look. I would only save the double-breasted bordeaux jacket, as I was put off by the strict buttoned up shirt and grey trousers, plus I am missing his signature printed scarf which would’ve jazzed up this look.

Looking at Sam, it’s clear that in parts the lighting at this event was too harsh.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

men

Here is a quick menswear roundup featuring three – one especially – very handsome fellas.

David Beckham: The former soccer star, who is now lending his bearded face to whisky, attended the press conference for Diageo Korea ‘Haig Club’ held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel on Wednesday (November 5) in Seoul, South Korea. Like Scotch Whisky, David gets better with age, looking oh so very handsome in his Ralph Lauren Black Label suit in dark navy.

Matthew McConaughey: The actor broke his Dolce & Gabbana run to wear a Dsquared² checked suit while attending the ‘Interstellar’ premiere held at the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC on Wednesday. Methinks this is his best suit this week in terms of fit and style.

Eddie Redmayne: After a mammoth effort promoting their new movie, ‘The Theory of Everything’, Felicity Jones handed over the reins to Eddie, who was flying solo on the red carpet at the Smithsonian National Museum Of American History on Thursday (November 6) for the Washington, DC premiere wearing a Gucci suit. As we would expect, the colour is non-traditional, the fit is impeccable, the styling even more so, and the man is impossible to stop on this current form.

Matthew McConaughey In Dolce & Gabbana and Camila Alves In Marchesa – ‘Interstellar’ New York Premiere

Matthew McConaughey In Dolce & Gabbana and Camila Alves In Marchesa - 'Interstellar' New York Premiere

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves were back stateside for the ‘Interstellar’ New York premiere held at AMC Lincoln Square Theater on Monday (November 3) in New York City.

Matthew McConaughey: The actor wore a Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit again, but this time the fit was all wrong – just look how crumpled those trousers are – so the grey Salvatore Ferragamo overcoat was very welcome here.

Camila Alves: Looking gorgeous in Marchesa, her Fall 2014 look consisting of an embellished knit top and ruffled skirt was styled with a Marchesa Notte gunmetal clutch and the most gorgeous pair of Jerome C. Rousseau ‘Taboo’ black satin sandals. A beautiful retro wavy bob rounded out her look.

During this promo tour, Camila, despite not appearing in the movie, continues to work a leading lady wardrobe. Kudos to her for not fading into the backdrop.

Matthew McConaughey In Dolce & Gabbana and Camila Alves In Cengiz Abazoglu - 'Interstellar' Paris Premiere

Matthew McConaughey and wife Camila Alves attended the ‘Interstellar’ premiere at Le Grand Rex on Friday (October 31) in Paris, France.

Matthew McConaughey: Keeping up his love for all things Dolce & Gabbana, the Oscar winner selected a cool dark-green three-piece suit styled with Salvatore Ferragamo Tramezza lace-up shoes, which, for me, is his best look so far on this promo tour. The look is sharp, tailored to perfection and well fitted.

Camila Alves: Once again Camila is the star of this duo, complementing her husband wearing a jade-green Cengiz Abazoglu look featuring an asymmetrical strap and ruffled detail cascading from one hip, which is a considered construction sculpting the figure to showcase an elaborately elegant form. Adding a touch of intrigue, she styled the look with snakeskin Louboutins.

2014 LACMA Art + Film Gala Menswear Roundup

2014 LACMA Art + Film Gala Menswear Roundup2

The gents were not to be outdone at the 2014 LACMA Art + Film Gala on Saturday (November 1) in Los Angeles.

Chadwick Boseman: Wearing a Gucci one-of-a-kind black velvet notch-lapel two-button Signoria tuxedo with a white dress shirt, he added a touch of flair to his look with a polka-dot bow tie.

Eddie Redmayne: It’s another winning look for the British actor, who looked very dapper in his slim-fit Gucci one-of-a-kind black cashmere peak-lapel two-button suit with a white dress shirt, slim cashmere tie and black leather lace-up shoes. As always, I’m buying what he is selling.

A Week In Eddie Redmayne’s Closet

A Week In Eddie Redmayne's Closet

Keeping up with Eddie Redmayne is no easy feat as the British actor, who is in the middle of promoting his new movie, ‘The Theory Of Everything’, has been living up to his best-dressed status at every event.

He was bold in burgundy Burberry at the BAFTA Los Angeles and Britannia Awards luncheon, styling his look with contrasting blue accessories for a truly diverse touch.

He looked so very debonair at the amfAR LA Inspiration Gala decked out in a satin-lapel suit by the honouree, Tom Ford, which might just be one of his best looks of all time. I just love the contrasting black pants for a less obvious pairing.

Last night he was at it again, and by ‘it’ I mean looking impeccable in a well-tailored shawl-collared suit at the BAFTA Los Angeles Jaguar Britannia Awards.

Canvassing for other well-dressed males, such as James Marsden, Daniel Radcliffe, Benedict Cumberbatch or Miles Teller, for best-dressed male of the year is almost impossible when Eddie keeps blowing them out of the water like this.

He’s on fire.
