Hailee Steinfeld In Prabal Gurung – 2014 Met Gala

Hailee Steinfeld In Prabal Gurung - 2014 Met Gala

Hailee Steinfeld was positively beaming at the 2014 Met Gala, themed ‘Charles James: Beyond Fashion’ at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City today (May 5).

Of course, the young starlet and burgeoning trendsetter had every reason to smile at one of New York fashion’s biggest nights.

Outfitted in Prabal Gurung, she followed the glamorous dress code of the evening in a masterfully sculpted creation—a riff on the high-low trend, complete with a sweeping train—also wearing black and white like co-chair Sarah Jessica Parker.

Smartly extravagant in its shapely, molded ball-gown shape, the design also received a dose of modern edge via the monochromatic, colour-blocked palette and racer-back silhouette.

A low, centre-parted bun and sparkling Van Cleef & Arpels floral earrings brought the classic elegance right back into play, though.

I adore this look! She looks adorable! Not sure about the shoes, but I’ll give her a pass.

Ignoring the shoes and a few wrinkles, this a great look that fits well with Hailee’s youthful style AND the night’s theme. It reminds me of James’ famous Cloverleaf gown. Bravo!

I absolutely adore this! This reminds me so much of what was, in my opinion, after the striped Prada, her best red carpet look to date, her prabal gurung at the Golden Globes. I love how mdern it is while reflecting the vintage couture honoured theme of the night.
    I am ignoring the shoes.

Absolutely stunning! Elegant and sophisticated. Shoes are a miss but great look overall, one of my faves.

I adore the beautifully sculpted full skirt and the modern take on the ball gown, it suits younger Hailee perfectly. Elegant, classy and glamorous yet youthful, can live with the shoes – very good choice for her

This is a great look for a young fashionista. While I don’t love the shoes, the dress and overall look are perfect for this gala.
