Kate Mara In J. Mendel – 3rd Annual NFL Honors

Kate Mara In J Mendel - 3rd Annual NFL Honors

Kate Mara attended the 3rd Annual NFL Honors held at Radio City Music Hall on Saturday (February 1) in New York City.

I almost didn’t recognised the actress with her hair down; as I’m so used to her sporting a tight, slick back bun.

No surprises that she’s wearing J. Mendel – one of her favourite designers.

Kate selected a sleeveless red lace shift dress from the Pre-Fall 2014 collection, featuring a high round neck, a sheer yoke and black sheer contrast organza hem which she complemented with black pumps.

While I wish the shoes weren’t so heavy, this is a good look for the pretty actress which she kept typically simple.

Great looking dress and good colour for Chinese New Year too

For some reason, I always find myself liking what she wears and this is no exception – even if the shoes are quite heavy.

I like her choices recently, as well as her blonde hair, but like her sister I find myself wishing she would look a bit happier to be there.

    Not liking the shoes.

I think she looks great! Love the dress and the shoes don’t bother me.

I like the dress, but not on her.

In my opinion the whole look is a misfire. Her hair is a mess, the dress is baggy on her, and the shoes don’t work at all. Furthermore, she looks rather sullen in this picture as well.

One thought — what is she doing at an event for the NFL? Has she taken up the sport? I have to roll my eyes in wry amusement of the trend in which celebrities are invited to walk the red carpet for events that they have no real connection to. It is so blatantly obvious that they are hired to add some celebrity glitter to an event.

I agree with your sentiment about celebs at sporting events, but in this case her attendance is no accident. The Mara family owns and runs the NY Giants, whose stadium is hosting the Superbowl this year.

Nice dress, wrong person, bad shoes.

That’s such a lovely dress, she looks great from the ankles up.

The dress is a nice choice for her, she looks cute, she is just lacking in the posing/presence department. More confidence and playful attitude would make it work. More inspiring, less heavy, shoe would’ve been welcome as well.

Love the dress, hate the shoes. Again.
