Diane Kruger In Valentino – Valentino Ball

Diane Kruger In Valentino - Valentino Ball

Diane Kruger also attended the Valentino Ball held at Palazzo Volpi during the 2013 Venice Film Festival on Wednesday evening.

If Keira Knightley’s Valentino Couture gown didn’t make your heart stop, Diane’s will.

The German beauty wore a Valentino ‘Poudre’ tulle illusione pretty pink gown from the Resort 2014 collection; you would be forgiven if you thought this was a Couture gown, such is the expert detailing with its floral embroidery with embellishments throughout.

Her round-neck dress with an A-line waist was styled with nothing but natural wavy tresses, a light-pink lip colour and her handsome escort beau Joshua Jackson, who was also decked out in Valentino.

Has BDOTW become a two clothes-horse race? Voting will begin on Sunday to cover all the TIFF premieres from Friday and Saturday.

She looks beautiful ( as always) but I don’t like the hairstyle here, I think this elegant dress needs an updo .

I agree, that is first thing I noticed was the hair. Doesn’t looks as polished and I think an updo would have been better.

This is so light, soft and very pretty, sheer beauty, and Diane wears it effortlessly.

      I agree.

+ a million. I love Diane in most anything, but this is particularly special and memorable. I might ave gone on beauty overdrive had she also sported an up do, so I will just remain satisfied with the look as is. BDOTW worthy!

She looks beautiful, he’s very dapper. A better hairstyle would have been better, anyway.

I agree. This is such a gorgeous and exquisite gown and deserved an elegant updo. She looks beautiful, other than that. Joshua looks dapper.

I don’t quite like it. The dress is beautiful but it is perhaps a bit to twee for her. And the hair could’ve definitely been more polished. Maybe if her hair was a up in a more mature hairstyle I would’ve liked it more.

I like the whole look, and I actually think the wavy hair works well. It feels young and fresh.

I don’t like this dress on her, too twee. And it looks like she’s pregnant.

Love her. Love the dress but she looks about 8 months pregnant in this photo.

She is certainly standing like a later term pregnant woman, and it is odd. It’s a pretty dress but not spectacular. A little phoning it in.

I like everything, hair style included. An updo would make the look too rigid, too constrict.

    Bdotw!love this so pretty

    Gorgeous too! BDOTW worthy too!

Now this is how a beautiful dress should be worn. Alicia Vikander wore an equally stunning dress, but just doesn’t have the presence like Diane does.

La Kruger looks amazing, love the simplicity of the hair that allows the dress to do all the heavy lifting. Beautiful!!!

Such a stunning dress but, as a few others have mentioned before, her hair needed to be done differently. Doesn’t compliment the dress at all. Dakota Fanning did something similar but in an Elie Saab recently as well. Hoping it’s not a trend to have untamed hair! x

Maybe it’s because I don’t get the appeal but I think she looks horrible especially with her I got out of bed and didn’t get the chance to wash my hair. It needed someone like Zhang Ziyi or Pace Lu to make it work because they have natural softness and pay attention to their hair. Disappointed :-)

This woman is flawless. I love this look on her. I also like her hair… it makes it all the more effortless.

An updo would have been preferred but she does look gorgeous in this gown.

I legit thought she was debuting her pregnancy!!! The gown is really pretty no doubt, but Valentino has done these gowns over and over again, I am so sick of this style. Yea and the hair is too messy. Overall this is pretty lame, whats happening to my girl?

  17. Juliet September 6, 2013 at 21:08 #

Her choices just don’t impress me.

  18. Foteini P. September 6, 2013 at 21:27 #

    Divine!!! <3

I think she looks fabulous, and I actually love the light and easy quality of keeping her hair down. Her dress has pockets, it’s pink. I think she made the right choice in upholding the almost couture-casual vibe of the gown with an equally carefree-feeling dress.

    • shap_half September 6, 2013 at 21:42 #

      I mean hairstyle not dress…

  20. Kathy September 7, 2013 at 02:40 #

The dress is simply divine. BDOTW for sure. Diane’s stance is a bit unfortunate, though…it makes her look pregnant, as others have pointed out.

For once, I don’t mind the hair – it just shows us the real Diane: she wears Valentino and looks chick and effortless. :)

  22. justme September 7, 2013 at 09:27 #

The dress is too sugary for her, her hair was clearly an afterthought and her posture is dreadful.

    I don’t get the love.

  23. Markness September 7, 2013 at 09:53 #

If the hair was better, this would’ve been BDOTY worthy. But my gosh, I love it! 😀
