I liked Kristen Stewart’s dress as much as Jessica C’s, sad she couldn’t really show it how it should. But it was better than Fan Bingbing in Marchesa.

Actually a really good event! I thought it was blah until I saw this lineup. I chose Octavia Spencer, Fan Bing Bing, Stacy Keibler, Jessica Chastain, Kerry Washington, and Jennifer Lawrence. Looking forward to the Oscar parties polls, with FC on them!!!
Charlize for me. But Overall the oscars redcarpet was not very exciting. I feel there were better looks at the after parties.

Oh right, Anne Hattaway let us down a bit… But I don’t hate her look as much as Fan Bingbing’s! Kerry Washington is not bat but just OK (maybe my hopes were too high).
In general I’m super disappointed by Marchesa, although Georgina Chapman herself looked lovely.
Stacy Keibler for me. She could give Heidi Klum lessons on how to look hot without baring it all.

No, you are not alone, I really don’t get the love for that gown. It was too bridal looking, I don’t like the silouhette and the color washes her out. I thought it was awful. Her party dress was hot and she should have worn that for the ceremony.

At fashion level, it has been a quite disappointing and boring event.

3 – Jennifer Lawrence. That gown is for Oscars or Cannes and she wore it quite well.
A shame the last minute change of gowns Anne did. If the rumors are true, the Valentino HC SS13 she was going to wear is to die for.

Wow, look 47 would have been beautiful on her. Even 46 and 48 are gorgeous. It would have brought some much needed drama to the red carpet. Oh well.

Oh, yes! I miss Alicia too! She and Amy and Zoe were on my list. Also, if Anne had worn that white Valentino, she would have been topping my list. Oh, what could have been!
I heard that she checked with Amanda on what she was wearing the day of the show and after seeing the picture of the dress, her and her stylist realized the colors were too similar. Jennifer Aniston was also scheduled to wear Valentino and her dress was similar to Anne’s. Seems like everyone then had to do a last minute switch. I feel badly for Anne because she’s taken major flak these past few weeks when some of it seems undeserved.
I felt bad for her until I’ve read her official statement: one thing is the speculation, the gossip about what could happen, we love to do that, but
another thing is to say in public the Prada gown was the second option for the most important event in terms of fashion. In this case, a private apology to Valentino maison and the man himself would have been enough, and let the people with the gossip. Prada has to be quite happy with Anne’s statement, for sure… what a snub!

I never complain when my personal best dressed isn’t included in a best dressed poll, but in this case I think Amy Adams totally deserved to be in this poll.

The thing with Amy’s dress was, it looked a little dated. I can instantly think of at least two very similar dresses that were worn in the previous big events like years ago…
I had three favourites: Jessica Chastain (I like all her recent looks), Naomi Watts and Charlize Theron. I voted for Naomi, because she had the most interesting look. Overall it was a pretty boring red carpet in my opinion.
I loved the beauty and simplicity of both Charlize and Naomi. I voted for Naomi as she took a risk and it really paid off. She looks amazing.
My list:
1)Jane Fonda in Atelier Versace- I think she looked phenomenal.
2)Anne Hathaway in Prada- It’s so bad that it’s good.
3)Charlize Theron in Dior- She would’ve been first if her dress wasn’t right out of Anne Hathaway and Kerry Washington’s closets.

1 – Naomi Watts
2 – Jessica Chastain
3 – Charlize Theron

Yaaawn! A thoroughly disappointing event, Naomi Watts and Jennifer Garner being the only stand outs, Jennifer’s pale lip just losing it for her for me… this event needed someone like Cate Blanchett to blow them out of the water and make them up their fashion game for next year…
Could we get a Best Dressed After Party Poll too? I feel like some of the best gowns actually showed up after the awards show.
My top four are Jennifer Lawrence, Stacy Keibler, Octavia Spencer, and Charlize Theron.

Biggest disappointment – Anne Hathaway
Worst of those shown at RCFA – Heidi Klum *sigh*
I’ve decided to vote for Octavia Spencer. She looked so good last year that I assumed she would wear a similar dress. Instead, she wowed me with this ultra-flattering, romantic gown, styled to perfection. Beautiful and Oscar-worthy.
Stacy Keibler is my runner-up. I absolutely love the dress and she does it full justice.
Jennifer Lawrence only gets my third place but I will be happy if she wins our poll. This was her big princess moment and she managed to carry it off very beautifully in Dior Couture. I was so glad to see her look so lovely!
My top three:
1. Alicia Vikander (who I’m missing here!)
2. Kerry Washington (for bringing color and something different)
3. Jennifer Lawrence (gorgeous!)
of this lot I voted for Jessica Chastain – love the old Hollywood vibe of it.
but seriously, seriously disappointed that my 2 favourites of the night weren’t included:
Nicole Kidman – that dress flattered her curves, looked like liquid gold, fit like a glove and was absolutely glamour.
Anne Hathaway – delicate and feminine and sooo Audrey-esque. this was my fav of the night. a perfect flawless dress that I think will be “classic” in years to come.
Jessica Chastain’s old Hollywood star look was sublime(!!) Yes, it was safe but noone really brought it. There were a few more interesting looks that stood out but nothing really great or special. Jennifer Lawrence’s bridal-esque ball-gown wasn’t that fabulous, Fan’s bold statement didn’t translate that well, the so called ‘futuristic’ design of Naomi Watts’s gown was rather subpar, Charlize’s gown looked like a minimalist version of Kerry Washington’s Rodarte gown, it was very hard to get excited about it, loved Zoe’s different look but once again it wasn’t anything particularly great or special and was more of a SAG or Golden Globes material imo, same with Kerry Washington’s look – sweet pretty confection but nothing to get excited about and so on… In the absence of real good strong competition, Jessica’s gorgeous look stands strong – it’s flawless, it’s timelessly beautiful and had plenty of Oscar-worthy glamour in it, she gets my vote.
Jennifer Lawrence for doing something event-appropriately grand (even though I don’t care for the gown), Stacy Keibler (LOVED her look, h2t perfection), and Octavia Spencer (nailed it) follow.
Anne Hathaway – easily the most disappointing of the night.

It wasn’t the most exciting RC ever, I’ll agree on that. But I still think it was much better than the Globes, SAGs and even last year’s Oscar. I dunno, I found it very consistent. There are awards shows that I can barely come up with a top 5 and I have now realized I really liked over 13 looks.

Since I can’t vote her I have to say that my favourite out of these lovely ladies is Jennifer Lawrence because, well, she’s Jennifer Lawrence. Her Dior gown is dreamy, but really I guess it’s her charm that wins. Charlize Theron looks amazing as well!
I found Jessica Chastain’s look to be perfect, though I love Jennifer Lawrence , Octavia Spencer, Naomi Watts, Stacy Keibler and Jennifer Garner too.
Saldana? I liked Reese Witherspoon too much much preferred the dresses at the parties. Of the list here, Octavia Spencer.

Stacy Keibler in Naeem Kahn was hands down the look of the night! Her dress was so chic and elegant without be too fussy, and her hair and makeup were flawless. I can’t understand why more people don’t wear Naeem Kahn gowns, they are simply STUNNING!!!!!

I don’t think you guys would like Jennifer Lawrence that much if Marion had walked the same red carpet as her that night.
I liked the color of many of these gowns(Jennifer Garner, Kerry, Naomi, and Jane) vs the style, which generally seemed a bit prosaic. There was really only one stand out for me: Jessica Chastain. When I saw her being interviewed on the red carpet, I just fell in love with the bronze metallic undertone of the fabric, not to mention the fit, and overall feel of the whole thing. It was simple, but incredibly lush and sexy.
All of my top 5 are included here, but I cant believe you left off Olivia Munn and rather have Jennifer Garner, Octavia Spencer and Jessica Chastain. Naaah!

Fan Bingbing is a victim of plastic surgery and bad role model for young Asian women.
Totally agree! Sadly, a lot of young actresses from China, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong fall victim these days. Pretty soon, these actresses will all morph into the same face with the help of a surgeon.
Name one source that you can approve she has had plastic surgery. Don’t tell me how many you read from paparazzi and heard from other people. Rumor is shameful and ignorant.

I was sooooo disappointed with this years Oscars. It feels as though absolutely none of these dresses will be remembered in years to come.
Although they were all gorgeous (Lawrence & Theron in particular) nothing seemed like it was jaw dropping.

Nicely surprised by Stacey Keibler who looked beautiful.
Don’t get the hype around J-Law’s look, nice in pictures but when you saw it on television just looked heavy and like a pair of curtains.
Since Amy Adams is not there it was a tie for me between JLaw and Naomi Watts. In the end I went for Jennifer because the more I look the more I like the blossom shape of the dress and I fell like there’s something missing in Naomi’s look.
Still Amy Adams was best dressed for me, with Catherine Zeta Jones as a very close runner-up. Oh, and Olivia Munn! She wore my favourite dress from the Marchesa Fall 2013 collection.

Jessica Chastain wins best dressed easily IMO. She was just oozing glamour and no one else was. I sill can’t believe people love that wedding dress Jennifer Lawrence is wearing.
I’m missing Anne Hathaway in Prada and Amy Adams in Oscar de la Renta, but my absolute favorite is Jessica Chastain in Armani Privé. Absolutely beautiful, old Hollywood glamour at its finest!
