Laura Whitmore In Alexandre Vauthier Couture – 2013 BAFTA Awards

Laura Whitmore In Alexandre Vauthier Couture - 2013 BAFTA Awards

The 2013 BATFAs took place in London tonight and you won’t be surprised to learn that it is raining.

It may worry the Hollywood stars, but Irish TV presenterLaura Whitmore will be very used to a rain soaked red carpet.

She donned a black Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2012 Couture keyhole jumpsuit, which was presented as a gown with a side slit.

The runway version is more appropriate for the Grammys, so I’m glad Laura picked this more sophisticated version.

Gold cuffs, wavy locks, a hot red lip colour and marine-blue rings on both hands provided the finishing touches.

The rings feel very out of place but everything else works for me.

    I like it!

    It works.

She looks nice, but I could’ve lived without the gold cuffs.

Weirdly enough, thought this was toned-down Rita Ora at first glance. Not liking this look–the slash front revealing dress, the OTT gold cuffs and turquoise rings, or her need-to-be-touched up roots.

Me too! LOL :D She does look great but the rings don’t fit.

Oh, it’s a jumpsuit. Even worse.

Like the jumpsuit but I also think that the rings feel weird on this look. Love the cuffs, it adds like a superhero vibe.

Only one ring would’ve sufficed and would’ve preferred an updo, it’s all starting to look a bit forced, overdone and tacky-ish.

I loved this look at first glance, but now I find it mediocre. I love her jewels, but if she opted for a sleek ponytail, the look would look less costumey

I’d lose the rings but the cuffs were a fun accent. The lips in a more neutral colour or the hair pulled back might have been more elegant but it’s fine as it is here.
