Looking chic with an edge, Helen Mirren stepped took to the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in LA on Sunday evening for the 2013 Golden Globe Awards upstaging starlets half her age.
Helen proved that fierce style knows no age boundaries as she turned heads in a fabulous Badgley Mischka Pre-Fall 2013 gown.
Her black gown shimmered with intricate gold beaded accents, and she capped it all off with a simple gold clutch.
The contrast between the black and the gold was not only the perfect touch of old-Hollywood glamour, but also proved to stand out amongst a sea of nude tones on the carpet at this year’s Globes.
I love that Helen opted for long sleeves (a choice that seemed to be deemed smart in the surprisingly low LA temperatures) and that she opted for a relaxed wavy bob hairstyle.

I so love Helen Mirren! She is AMAZING! We all hope to look only half as good as her, today let alone when we are her age. Sheesh! I adore everything about this look from the front. The dress is perfect for her. I love her hairstyling too. But the dress is a little weird for me from the back. So from the front, one of my favorites of the night. I’ll just look at the front!
