Xu Fan attended the ‘Centro Historico’ premiere during the 7th Rome Film Festival at the Auditorium Parco Della Musica on Friday evening in Italy.
The Asian actress looked beautiful wearing a Christopher Bu gown.
Her black chiffon gown with intricate beaded and embroidered details on the bodice and skirt was styled with a stunning necklace and onyx ring.
Xu Fan kept her makeup minimal and opted for a twisted updo.
The name Christopher Bu should ring a bell, as he is the designer who creates those gorgeous traditional gowns we see on Fan Bingbing during opening ceremony of Cannes Film Festival every year.
This gown showcases his ability to create more contemporary gowns, too.

Beautiful gown, the necklace is too much. I would like to see this gown on someone with a more womanly figure.
ITA.
The gown is quite nice, but it gives her a boxy silhouette around waist… I wish it was somehow more fitted in that area. Plus I would have skipped the necklace.
+1 I agree.
This dress is not flattering on her. It makes her look wide in the mid-section.
Lovely woman, lovely dress (though too low-necked) and the necklace is gorgeous (though maybe not right for the dress?). Others are saying that it looks a bit wide in the mid-section. I can see that. It is a nice look though.
The dress screams nightgown, and with her hair up and minimal makeup she looks ready for bed–except for the necklace. Not a winner for me.
