Julia Louis-Dreyfus stunned on the red carpet at the 2012 Emmy Awards on Sunday evening.
She took home the award for ‘Best Actress in a Comedy’ for ‘Veep’ and she deserves to be in the running for Best Dressed of the Night, as she looked breathtaking wearing this custom Vera Wang gown.
Her merlot classic mermaid gown was paired with oxblood Brian Atwood ‘Karin’ platform sandals and gorgeous Irene Neuwirth earrings.
A sleek centre-parted chignon completes the look.

What a gorgeous dress, this is one of her best looks ever! She is one of the best of the night. Hair, makeup and nails work well with the look. The earrings are stunning but they are not right for this color gown imo; I would have preferred emeralds.

I’m going to have to disagree — watching live on E! she was one of least favorites. I don’t like the earrings and dress together. On my TV screen (watching the HD channel) the dress looked like a muddy color. I like the lines of the dress, but that color doesn’t work for me.
Not loving this either including the matronly center-parted ´do.

I love everthing but the earrings. I think a different shade of blue would have worked better.
This is perfection on her. The fit is perfect, the colour is perfect, the earings work so well with it. She really made it her own, and very modern, with the hair, the minimal makeup, the dark nails and the earrings. Definitely on eof the many in the running.
I think the jewelry would have been a nice touch if the dress had been strapless or completely opaque. With the overlay and those goofy little knots at the shoulder, I find the blue earrings too much.
I would have preferred a more neutral sparkle at the ears and a bit more lip color.
I am not loving this look either. Her hair is very aging on her nd the earrings don’t compliment the color.
this gown is very similar to the Zac Posen gown Gwyneth Palthrow wore to the Oscar many many many years back.
