Ashley Tisdale joined a host of celebrities including Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Lea Michele on the red carpet for the 11th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball on Saturday evening, hosted at the private Mandeville Canyon estate of Susan Harris & Hayward J. Kaiser.
The actress wore an Again ‘Elaine’ maxi dress.
Her white knit dress with an open backm side split and nude lining was styled with nude pumps, gold hooped earrings and a gold ring.
Whilst I love that Ashley has opted not to over style that look, I’m conflicted on the top-knot.
It’s a tad messy for my liking, but on the same hand had she over-styled her hair it wouldn’t have gone with the boho, easy, breezy vibe she was going for.

Having trouble getting past the dress. Don’t like the partial lining–it should just be short.
Me too, the nude lining is distracting me.
I dislike the hairstyle very much. A sleek top-knot or a less messy top-knot would’ve been preferred. The dress is better than her usual looks, I like it but not love it.

I don’t like all the different colors in her hair. It makes her hair look disheveled. I also think the dress, whilst lace, is too beachy for this event.
She should’ve taken a luxe but relaxed approach like Jena Tatum.

Fail. The hair itself would’ve been enough for a fail, but I don’t like the dress either. She looks like an odd column, especially when standing in the corner.

The contrast in color between the top-knot and the rest of her hair is clownish. Terrible.
The dress should be fully lined or, as someone suggested above, cut off as a mini. As it is, it chops the look up.
Too bad, because the dress is very nice and suits her.
Maybe if her hair weren’t two completely different colors it wouldn’t look so off putting …
I knows it’s summer but this “hairball” hairstyle is not cute on the red carpet at all.

I adore it. It’s fresh, summery and her hair doesn’t bother me at all. I love her. This is the best she has look this year, I think. She looks very chic.
