Finally we have some Gucci on the red carpet on day three of the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.
The First Lady of the Gucci group, Salma Hayek, was the first to hit the red carpet for the ‘Once Upon A Time In America’ – Gucci Film Foundation premiere this evening. Salma wore a stunning Gucci Premiere gown – the collection which was made for her.
Her rich gown in shades of chocolate brown had a fully-beaded bodice and ombre chiffon skirt.
Salma’s accessories included a champagne coloured satin clutch and gold jewels including a wristlet.
With heavy smoked eyes and a copper lip colour, she completed her look with a curly updo.

why is a custom made dress tight at the bust?
The dress is gorgeous, but I really dislike her eye makeup.

Great fit, her voluminous bust is presented very well, pretty hair and accessories. The badly applied eye makeup aside, she looks great.
Reading the other comments here…Salma happens to be very busty and I think that the fit in the bust area is actually perfect – not too tight to squish the boobs, just perfect to give them the proper boost and support, wouldn’t wanna see it any looser.

the makeup from far away kinda looks nice, but up close, it is really letting her down. Other than that, she looks lovely!

Whilst the gown is stunning enough, she is not necessarily in my favorites list. Too much boobage and I don’t like her hair and eye make-up either.
I would love this look if it werent for the hair & makeup, the latter in particular. The ombre is her hair just doesn’t suit her (or IMO anyone), and it just looks a bit too wild & casual, it nowhere near meets the elegance of her gown. The makeup is just inexplicable. I have honestly aplied eyemakeup in the back of a cab mirror-free with more skill.
I don’t understand why Gucci has to beatray on its own style making custom dress for her, I mean if the Gucci lines don’t fit your curves, dress Marchesa or Versace… I think the Gucci woman is different.

This could have been a stunning look if not for the over-tight bust and bad makeup. Too bad, because the gown is really amazing.
Completely agree although the tight bust does not bother me as much as the bad makeup does. the close-up picture really shows how bad her makeup is……
that is one gorgeous dress, but rest not so much.
The dress is gorgeous, very dramatic, dark and elegant, with the right amount of sparkle. But I think it is a bit tight at the bust.
The idea behind the make-up -something dark and sexy- is good, and goes with the dress; but the execution is sloppy.
Salma’s beauty is not shining through in this gown. Dislike the hair and the make-up looks “gone wrong”!

This is the first time that I dislike the Gucci Premiere/Salma Hayek combination.I don’t like the gown and Salma heavily applied make up which sort of aged her.

Hmmmm. Of all the Gucci dresses she picked this grandma gown. And finished it off with bad prom make up. Biggest disappointment.
the eye makeup is so garish. there is no need to have black/brown eyeshadow blending onto your temples….?!! the dress is very nice, but again there seems to be a bust issue…but can’t blame salma for being well endowed!
There’s too much going on in this dress, it reminds me the costume of people who works in the circus. Plus, the make up is embarrassingly ugly and the hairdo is quite messy. A miss, for me, what a waste of clothes.
I find it really hard to like Salama’s style. Granted, she has a difficult body to dress, but many have managed to. P.S. Her hair and make-up look really tacky and messy
