Jessica Alba In Carven – ‘The Biggest Baby Shower Ever’

Jessica Alba attended ‘The Biggest Baby Shower Ever’ in New York City yesterday.

Whilst I love that she selected a Carven Spring 2012 zig-zag-print shirt with a lemon A-line skirt, I’m not crazy about the rest of the look.

The black blazer and tights weigh down the ensemble. The look would’ve been warm summery without them.

Her Giuseppe Zanotti black-and-white toe-cap pumps would’ve worked better for me if they had been yellow or nude.

Jessica completed her look with a Proenza Schouler white PS1 bag.

Do you like Jessica’s look as she presented it, or do you have a problem with the styling like I do?

You can buy Jessica’s Carven shirt from Net-A-Porter.com, Browns Fashion, S|sense and farfetch.com.
Her Proenza Schouler bag is available from Luisa via Roma and ProenzaSchouler.com.

i think even if she changed nothing but ditched the tights the look would improve about a hundred times.

I have almost the same problem like you FC. Without the blazer and the tights it would’ve been a cute look. I don’t mind the pumps so much because they complement the black and white part on the shirt.

The blazer does bother me a bit, but I know she loves tights, so….

I just don’t get this look.

just another case of a “fashionista” getting dressed without her stylist. yes they have all these lovely pieces but most truly do not know how to put them together on their own. which is why the word fashionista should be used rarely ;)

“Warm Summery”….it was a miserably rainy, grey day yesterday in NYC…and about 50 degrees!

I agree FC. I hate how she styled it. The blazer and tights need to go. She needed shoes that complemented a color in her top.

Ditch the tights, change the shoes–I actually like the blazer so that’s all the fix that it needs from me! It’s sad because if she had done it right it would have been SO cute!
