After a sold out concert in Las Vegas on Saturday night, Florence Welch attended the Florence + The Machine Las Vegas After Party held in her honour by MSN.
Showing off a darker and more structural look than her traditional performance apparel, Florence appeared in a black-and-teal lace Tadashi Shoji Fall 2012 dress with a boat-neck and tiered skirt.
It seems ironic that Florence chose Las Vegas of all places to try out a new look and ditch her typical golden goddess style.
A loose updo and several rings – I count eight – complete the look.
You loved Mena Suvari in a short-and-sweet red version of this dress last week, so how does Florence compare?

I love the dress, but somehow Florence isn’t selling it to me. It might be the uninspired hair, but this looks falls flat.
I like it. As we already know, green really works with redheads. And her hairstyle is getting better.
+1
Awwwwwww, at last! This gown is just perfect on her, and I’m glad she’s wearing some colour other then nude, blush and gold.
Just perfect on her indeed. Love her in green.
I was a bit divided on Mena’s look as it was a BIT heavy fabric and print wise, yet I thought she pulled it off because of the length. Florence’s, though, feels way too overwhelming. To me this dress feels terribly heavy and dated.
Just awful, she looks like cheap curtains.
The terrible hair and makeup aren’t helping either.
Nice dress, wrong season. Lol, agree, wrong place to go all dark and stormy night. No center-parted hair, yay!
Good look for Flo. I am glad she switches things up.
I adore this look on Florence. It’s a departure for her, for sure, but it looks sophisticated and beautiful. The green pops with her hair. Love it!
love love love
Her colouring looks warmer than usual and I like the hair do. The dress feels to fall like though.
LOVE!
This is her best look so far this year in my opinion. Really loved it.
love Tadashi Shoji. she looks amazing
love.
I like it. She lets the dress do the talking and it has a lot to say. Elegant and sophisticated
Yay for her wearing a new color and a new brand!
Green looks great on her.
she looks great! love it!
It’s refreshing to see her in a saturated colour like this green, it works so well with her skin tone. The dress itself looks very sophisticated on her.
The gold/nude looks she had been wearing were all beginning to morph into one.
This dress ages her so much. But I usually like what she wears, so I’ll give her a pass.
