Sami Gayle was once again in head-to-toe Miu Miu whilst attending the 55th Annual New York Emmy Awards gala at the Marriott Marquis Times Square on Sunday in New York City.
She arrived wearing a red capelet over her black taffeta Miu Miu dress, which we’ve seen on Dakota Fanning.
On this occasion I think the caplet kills the look.
Her stylist had already overloaded her with Miu Miu accessories including a black-and-white large beaded necklace with a pearl-and-red crystal floral brooch, plus cute red-and-white gingham slingbacks and a red patchwork basket bag.
Was the caplet really needed?
Not at all, because from the second picture we can see that the necklace and the shoes are enough to sell this look.

In red they’re a bit harsh. I fidn the whole look to be a bit overcooked, as I really dislike the necklace and the bag is too much. The dress is adorable, but I would have liked it with just the capelet and the shoes.

You’re not the only one, I dislike her hairstyle as well. And I absolutely agree with you about the accessories, the look would be definitely improved had she gotten rid of the necklace and the bag and kept only the capelet and shoes.

FC thank you so much- again- for featuring new talents on your blog. Other blogs really don’t do that enough. Sami Gayle is cute, talented and should be the next Miu Miu face, as she cute and has a distinctive look. Since Sami clearly breaths Miu Miu, I don’t think it’s necessarily Miu Miu overload as it would be on someone who doesn’t adore the brand. I surprisingly love the caplet on her. It works with her short ‘do.

I like it better without the cape, but she should have lost the necklace too. The necklace is competing with the straps on the dress and the black part is getting lost against the black fabric.

For her first few times on the red carpet, she’s really bringing it! She looks like she loves fashion and is having a blast. How can you not love that?

That identical pose in both shots is a little freaky – she looks like one of those paper dolls with the cut-out clothes you could attach with little tabs (probably giving away my age there!)
