It’s freezing in New York, but my goosebumps are not for the cold weather.
Tilda Swinton rocked the red carpet at the 2012 BAFTA Awards in London this evening.
She opted for another chic minimalist look, this time from Celine’s Pre-Fall 2012 for a refreshing, unpredictable change.
The look appears to be a jumpsuit in the look-book picture, but on Tilda it’s more like separates.
Once again I love what she’s done with her hair. I hope Emma Watson is taking notes.
Embellished sandals and a Pomellato cocktail ring completed her look.

It reminds me of Jil Sander looks from last years collection…
This is amazing – Would be really surpirsed if anyone manages to beat that this week (Grammy’s tonight included)
Love it. Perfection.
agree
When I first saw this look, it immediately made me think of Tilda. So happy she wore it!
It’s very Tilda but I don’t like it at all. Not a fan of oversized separates–or jumpsuits.
I’m not so sure about this. I find Tilda hit and miss. This is a nice departure from Haider Ackerman and Lanvin. I wish she wore it as a one piece jumpsuit, though, because as separates it loses the graceful and feminine lines as seen on the model. The hair is a bit too messy.
Oh Tilda, how I love you. A stunning display of style!
Can`t take pretty much anything she does seriously as long as she continues to look (and stand)like a man. Personally hope she ditches her androgynous persona entirely and see a beautiful sophisticated woman Tilda even in a menswear inspired look some day with actual flattering hair and makeup not David Bowie (love him btw)circa early 80s, or whoever/other male celeb. she reminds people of.
you literally just stole the words out of my mouth.
That’s her whole deal. She wants to challenge preconceived notions of femininity and that’s why I love her. Her androgyny is what makes her so interesting and fabulous.
+1 Rosie/
As per usual, I just had a massive gasp. She has been the awards season style dark horse, liek we knew she’d do well but nto this well. Also, it’s nice that she’s gone for another designer. The best thing is that you can tell that this is a bad photo, and she still looks great. She even makes me forget her old, wonderful hair.
Great look for Tilda!
AMAZING!!
THIS is the tilda i’ve been longing to have back. while she’s looked fantastic in all that haider, i love it when she gives us her brand of modern minimal femininity.
amazing. absolutely amazing
Tilda es una diosa! Tilda is pure style: Unique!
The Celine isn’t from Pre-Fall12 100%. The look is from SS12; if you look through Celine’s SS12 they have trousers in black and white with the satin exaggerated hem.
Works for Tilda.
I really want to love this. But it just looks sloppy and ill fitting compared to the model’s.I wish she would have done the jumpsuit instead of the separates.
The gown on Celine’s lookbook is actually a dress. I’m not sure this is the one Tilda Swinton is wearing. I saw this Celine look in real and it is not possible to separate the top and the bottom …
BUT Tilda look amazing!
god!!!
