Helena Christensen attended the Swarovski Crystallized Unsigned Model Search event in London yesterday.
She’s the latest celebrity to try to make this Stella McCartney Spring 2012 collection work on the red carpet after the latest failure hit the red carpet on Wednesday evening courtesy of Laura Whitmore.
I tried to like this look, but I just can’t get on board with the black embroidered hemline which was incorporated into many pieces within this collection.
Why Stella? Why?
The striped tights are an interesting touch, but between the hemline and the beige pumps it’s yet another no from me despite this being the best of the bunch.
What say you?

How to Achieve the Classic Blowout

This collection doesn’t work on the catwalk nor the red carpet. Love Helena’s tights.
For me she is already compiting for Worst Dressed of the Year.
Agreed, everything is just terrible, it screams attention-clown.
Who cares about the hemline when she is wearing those hideous blue tights and the beige pumps on top of them??? The whole thing is just HIDEOUS! The WORST of them all.
Am I missing something? Why is terrible collection so popular with celebrities? I know Stella’s chummy with many of them, but really?
I’d politely make up an excuse and find something that was actually nice.
+1!
i absolutely adore the dress, and I love Helena’s spin on the dress… well done to both!
Totally agree.
I don’t love the thights. In fact, I hate them. But I like the dress quite a lot, to be honest. I don’t find anything wrong with this collection.
I think the hemlines are so cool! I would wear a dress from this collection if I could afford it.
I can officially say that I hate this collection.
+1
Yes, me too !
I gave up on it by Gwyneth Paltrow.

+N Hate.
Nice attempt, but I’m with FC – just can’t find anything to celebrate here. Celebrities and media are trying really hard to hawk this unfortunate collection.
Not a big fan of this collection to say least but Helena deserves an A for an effort to make this look work.
I agree, though I think the hose are wrong–maybe solid blue but not striped and not with those shoes. But the dress looks better on her than this collection does on most folks.
Loathe, head to toe.
Ugly collection and heinous tights.
I agree,Helena can make the look work!!
With a body like hers it’s hard to do wrong, but this is not working. It’s not even funny!
Another bomb for Stella from this bomb of a collection. Not attractive, not pretty, not edgy, not forward, not cool, not avant garde . An unwearable collection. The madness of trying to wear these clothes must stop.
i can’t blame her for wearing the tights as it is a light summer dress being worn in the dead of a london winter, but i pray, for her sake, it looked better in real life than it does in this photograph.
un leg looks much shorter than the other, hahaha, thks the posture, weird hemline and those tights, odd in every single angle
As if this could be any worse as it was she adds the race-track tights…
I guess I’m not much a fashionista but I adore this dress and really like the look on Helena. The tights are awesome.
This confuses me, is she trying to be in a Willy Wonka movie??
