Dita Von Teese had the honour of wearing the first Alexis Mabille Spring 2012 Couture look on the red carpet to the Sideaction Gala dinner in Paris, France yesterday evening.
The burlesque dancer chose a form-fitting red dress with a sheer yoke and lace detailing.
Dita kept the look monochromatic with head-to-toe red accessories including satin pumps, red lippie and a Christian Louboutin ‘Eden’ satin clutch which has ruffled rosettes on the top and a red leather tassle on the bottom.
Whilst she may have toned down the runway look, her large red headband is sure to give even Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge fascinator envy.

Probably wouldn´t have liked it on someone else but as usual Dita makes it work for her with her impeccable polish-ness and assertive graceful presence, would´ve preferred a less fussy bag considering she is already wearing that bold headband.
Ditto.
I agree, a simpler bag would have been better. She looks great
Dita is what Kate Middleton will never be: a fashion icon.
This is way too costumey. It’s like she’s dressing up as Kate for Halloween.
hummm, Dita was always like this LONG before Kate became a trend. So…
On anyone else this would just look like a sea of red but on Dita it’s perfection at it’s best. If only us mere mortals could be so bold and get away with it! *sigh*
Well.. That’s hardly a surprise being a british royalty… Take a look at the rest of them?! Dita is Dita… Hardly anyone else can pull of her very special look. I think she is iconic in the same way as Tilda because they have their own very personal and not to everybodys taste – but still very distinct style.
she looks beautiful but there is a little too much red for my taste.
