Taissa Farmiga In Versus Versace – ‘The Mule’ LA Premiere

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon Features Taissa Farmiga In Versus Versace - 'The Mule' LA Premiere

If you were to ask me what kind of brand was the perfect fit for Taissa Farmiga, I would’ve said Miu Miu, Prada followed by Brock Collection.

But the actress surprised me by attended the world premiere of ‘The Mule’ on Monday (December 10) in Westwood, California, wearing Versus Versace.

Even with the cut-outs on this two-piece Pre-Fall 2018 look, the outfit doesn’t immediately scream Versace until you get to the iconic safety pins.

I’m almost convinced you could wear this particular look to the office.

Silver sandals was the perfect way to round out this look.

What Goes Around Comes Around 25th Anniversary Celebration & Tribute to Gianni Versace

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon feature the What Goes Around Comes Around 25th Anniversary Celebration & Tribute to Gianni Versace

What Goes Around Comes Around hosted a 25th anniversary bash on Saturday (December 8) in Miami Beach at the Versace Mansion with Devon Windsor, Helena Christensen and Delilah Belle Hamlin in attendance to check out the retailer’s Retrospective Tribute to Gianni Versace.

Devon Windsor: There was no missing Devon on this red carpet. She was very much the life and soul of the party in this vibrant ’90s leopard look. You may consider this too much with the contrasting prints, but this is ’80s Versace at its finest.

Helena Christensen: The model was also channeling a ’90s vibe in her iconic safety pin dress, which recently made a comeback thanks to Beyonce.  The overall look, thanks to the styling, is surprisingly dainty.

Delilah Belle Hamlin: After setting off to Miami in style, the young model wasn’t even born when this chainmail top was created. Pairing the look with jeans in a clashing print amped up the ’80s vibe.

‘Black Panther’ Screening & Conversation

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon feature the 'Black Panther' Screening & Conversation

Scarlett Johansson hosted a special screening and discussion for ‘Black Panther’ on Saturday (December 8) in New York City.

Ruth E. Carter: I’m sure you don’t need for me to tell you that Ruth was the costume designer for this film. This colourful, pattern play dress embodies the rich colours and textures we saw in the film.

Lupita Nyong’o: I was happy to see the actress back on top form in Versace. This minty two-piece Spring 2019 look is divine against her skin tone, plus I really enjoying her extra pop of colour from the orange SJP pumps. The best thing here is how the look elongates her petite frame.

Danai Gurira: Providing a distinctly modern take on animal prints, the actress wore a Victoria Beckham Resort 2019 dress patterned with a digitally designed cow hide design. I love how the boots ground this look, unlike the lookbook matching boots, which would’ve been a step too far.

Hannah Beachler: The film production designer wore two simple staples, but the fringed overlay takes this look to another level.

Scarlett Johansson: As the host, the Marvel star kept a low profile in navy and black.

Victoria’s Secret Viewing Party

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon feature the Victoria's Secret Viewing Party

The 2018 Victoria’s Secret Show aired in the US on Sunday (December 3), and the Angels gathered in New York City to watch the fruits of their labour play out on the big screen at a viewing party.

Elsa Hosk: The leggy blonde was oozing the kinda sex appeal we expect from a model wearing a stunning Fannie Schiavoni ‘Lola’ ombre mesh dress styled with pretty pink sandals.

Herieth Paul: Shining so bright like a diamond in a Dsquared2 silver suit, the model – who blew me away – styled her look with Jack Vartanian jewels.

Nadine Leopold: There was more magic and sparkle to be had on this red carpet with Nadine looking breath-taking in a pink sequined fringed mini by from Cristahlea’s Spring 2019 collection, which she styled with Stuart Weitzman’s ‘Bareitall’ sandals.

Front Row @ Versace Pre-Fall 2019

Front Row @ Versace Pre-Fall 2019

Pre-Fall collections are perhaps seen as the less interesting or sexy of all the collections presented, but now it seems that they are just as important at Fall and Spring, with big budget shows and A-list front rows.

Following Dior Men and Valentino last week, Versace presented their Pre-Fall 2019 collection in New York City on Sunday (December 2).

Diane Kruger: What a way to showcase your post-baby figure, in a Versace Spring 2019 mini no less. I can’t say the chunky belt is working for me here, but she’s still looking every inch a yummy mummy.

Ciara: While this Spring 2019 Versace suit showcases the brand tailoring, I would’ve loved something a bit more extravagant from Ciara, but the Versace medallion necklace and ruffle hem did prevent this from being a snooze.

Blake Lively: The actress shelved her favoured suit for an iconic Versace chainmail dress from the Spring 1999 collection. I love the ’90s spirit imbued in this look from the dress to the bountiful curls. I just wish she’d eased up on the jewels.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

It’s time to catch up with the menswear circuit, as this past weekend brought with it a slew of handsome fellows on the red carpet.

Richard Madden: At the Evening Standard Theatre Awards 2018 on Sunday (November 18) in London, Richard was ever-so-dapper in a head-to-toe Salvatore Ferragamo look that was striking in its sophistication.

Timothée Chalamet: Continuing to show us his sharp eye for style, the young actor riffed on the classic black suit at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ 2018 Governors Awards in Hollywood on Sunday (November 18). This Haider Ackermann Spring 2019 look offered such cool visual appeal in the jacket’s stained-glass, swirling pattern and shaping.

Eddie Redmayne: Speaking of cool-kids, Eddie will forever be one, especially with looks like this sporty Gucci ensemble at the ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’ photocall in Madrid, Spain on Friday (November 16). Who knew a bee-emblazoned bomber could look so breezy.
