Skai Jackson In Red Valentino – ‘Christopher Robin’ LA Premiere

Skai Jackson In Red Valentino - 'Christopher Robin' LA Premiere

Skai Jackson joined Hayley Atwell for the world premiere of Disney’s ‘Christopher Robin’ at the Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank, California on Monday (July 30).

Bold colours and prints have always been Skai’s red carpet M.O., but on this occasion she changed tack opting for a black Red Valentino Pre-Fall 2018 dress.

The drama we see in the lookbook was tempered by shortening the layers of asymmetric tulle, but I adore the flirty length for Skai as it feels more youthful and less heavy.

Do I wish Skai’s Stella Luna sandals were a another colour?

Yes, but this look is still elegance personified from head-to-toe.

77th Annual Peabody Awards Red Carpet Roundup

There were a number of beauties at the 77th Annual Peabody Awards on Saturday (May 19) in New York City. They joined Rachel Brosnahan.

Yvonne Orji: The ‘Insecure’ actress opted for sophisticated separates. She wore a Naeem Khan blazer, Carmen Marc Valvo trousers, a Theory top and Calvin Klein shoes. The interplay of textures is exciting, but it still presents a harmonious finish thanks to the monochromatic colour palette and swirling lines.

Alexis Bledel: Making a statement in bright colour, the ‘Handmaid’s Tale’ actress was outfitted in Red Valentino. With so much going on, she was wise to stick with black accessories but the heavy boots are too harsh against the look and too casual for the event.

Issa Rae: Shimmering in Thom Browne, she showed a flirty side. Festooned with feathers, as opposed to fringing, increased the ethereal romance. The way the trim seamlessly blends with the silver metallic fabric shows a deft hand.

Kathryn Newton In RED Valentino – ‘Lady Bird’ New York Film Festival Screening

Kathryn Newton attended the ‘Lady Bird’ New York Film Festival screening on Sunday (October 8), joining Greta Gerwig.

The young actress looked charming in pastel pink layers of RED Valentino. A soft chiffon dress was speckled with an unexpected insect print, providing a quirky touch to the midi style.

Also surprising was the addition of the muted pink jacket Kathryn wore draped loosely over her shoulders.

A pair of T-strap, pointed-toe shoes in a cotton candy pink completed the girlish ensemble.

While some might decree the outfit as too saccharine, I found the unique touches and juxtaposition of the bug print produced a striking finish.

Entertainment Weekly Hosts Its Annual Comic-Con Party

Along with Candice Patton, Dania Ramirez, and Tessa Thompson, there were many more starlets in attendance to celebrate as Entertainment Weekly hosted Its annual Comic-Con 2017 party on Saturday (July 22) in San Diego, California.

Willa Holland: Silky, satiny materials can be a challenge to wear on the red carpet, and some of those issues with creasing and sheen were seen in this Giorgio Armani suit. Willa styled the silvery, tuxedo-inspired look with Beladora jewels and a sexy pair of Malone Souliers ‘Robyn’ pumps.

Nathalie Emmanuel: With a strong, black-and-white graphic punch, Nathalie would not be missed in this Etro Spring 2017 wrap dress that she styled with a multi-colour belt for added impact.

Phoebe Tonkin: I actually loved seeing this Gucci Fall 2017 studded, leather mini stripped of its over-the-top runway styling. What remained was a precious, girly floral frock with plenty of edge, too.

Aubrey Plaza In Red Valentino & Miu Miu – ‘The Little Hours’ & ‘Ingrid Goes West’ LA Screenings

Aubrey Plaza has been at the 2017 Los Angeles Film Festival, where she attended the screening of ‘The Little Hours’ on Monday (June 19) and the closing night screening of ‘Ingrid Goes West’ on Thursday (June 22).

‘The Little Hours’: Despite the embroidered, decorative floral throughout, this Red Valentino Fall 2017 dress resonated more strongly on the solemnly conservative scale that would also seem a bit heavy for summer. So, I’m glad she tried to lighten the mood with her ponytail and pumps although a sandal would have likely been even more successful.

‘Ingrid Goes West’: With a distinct vintage flavour, this pleated, pink Miu Miu frock had something of a quirky, retro charm completed by the black platform heels—even if I didn’t exactly understand the wash of her purple eyeliner here.
