Helen Mirren In Rami Al Ali Couture – ‘Isle of Dogs’ Berlinale International Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Helen Mirren was one of the many stars at the 68th Berlinale International Film Festival opening ceremony and ‘Isle of Dogs’ premiere in Berlin, Germany on Thursday (February 15). She joined Elle FanningGreta Gerwig and Tilda Swinton.

The actress brought out a Rami Al Ali Fall 2016 Couture dress to make a majestic entrance in.

It’s common to see actresses make full use of lengthy red carpets with sweeping trains and full skirts, but she opted for an ankle-length design.

The shorter silhouette enhances the flared skirt bedecked with cascading embellishment. However, I wish it was shortened just a wee bit more, if not to the runway’s original length, for a sharper finish.

The warm gray colour and the open neckline tempered the princess sentiment of the full skirt.

Her version upped the sexiness with the V-shaped bodice skimming her shoulders and drawing attention to her décolletage.

Chopard jewels completed her look.

Letitia Wright In Rami Al Ali – ‘Black Panther’ London Premiere

Letitia Wright was also at the London premiere of ‘Black Panther’ on Thursday (February 8), joining Florence Kasumba.

Some of you felt her world premiere look was a bit aging to the young star. However, I don’t think that will be the case with this Rami Al Ali Fall 2017 frock.

The charm factor was fully accounted for in the textural design that really celebrated the silhouette of the waist with the metallic embroidery.

The shortened, non-high-low silhouette did make the look a bit more mainstream and accessible from its original presentation. However, those looking for a more dramatic premiere look may be slightly disappointed.

Did you like her modifications to the design this time out?

Eiza González In Rami Al Ali Couture – Vanity Fair’s Celebrating of ‘Phantom Thread’

Eiza González was on hand to help Vanity Fair celebrate ‘Phantom Thread’ with Paul Thomas Anderson at the Chateau Marmont on Wednesday (January 10) in Los Angeles, California.

The gorgeous actress wore a truly dazzling ballerina-inspired grey tulle hi-lo halter waltz length gown from Rami Al Ali’s Fall 2016 Couture collection.

I love how the light-catching sequins enhances the romantic nature of the look while the styling rounds out the ladylike finesse.

Eiza’s style tends to veer on the sexy side, so this was a refreshing fairytale moment.

Mary J. Blige In Rami Al Ali Couture – ‘Mudbound’ AFI FEST 2017 Screening

Mary J. Blige’s ‘Mudbound’ style has been very hit and miss for me, but for the screening during the Opening Night Gala of AFI FEST 2017 on Thursday (November 9) in Hollywood, California, she served up one of her best looks in Rami Al Ali Couture.

Modified for the better, the gunmetal beaded lace gown with open back from the Fall 2016 Couture collection, was serving up the kind of glamour that screams superstar.

A part of me wishes this was in a more vibrant hue like violet or green, but Queen Mary was hitting all the high notes last night in this gown.

Julianne Hough In Rami Al Ali Couture – 2017 Creative Arts Emmy Awards

Julianne Hough attended the 2017 Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Saturday (September 9).

In keeping with the girlie aesthetic we saw at the Harper’s BAZAAR September Issue cover party, Julianne donned a Rami Al Ali Spring 2016 Couture gown in a shimmering silver pink. As it’s only fall, Julianne wisely left off the billowing coat to allow the draping on the fluid gown to be fully visible.

She brought a touch of Old Hollywood to the look with loose waves draped over one shoulder and Aldo shoes, which were hidden under the hem of her gown.

The darker box clutch might initially feel like an afterthought, but it’s tied into the look through the varying shades of pink and red of the cocktail rings and the Dvani ruby drop earrings.

I really wanted more from Tracee. She’s always been a fan of colour, so this felt a bit drab.
