Jenna Ortega Is Following the Sun at the London Film Festival

Jenna Ortega attended the Klara and the Sun premiere during the 2026 BFI London Film Festival at the Royal Festival Hall on Thursday, continuing what is becoming an interesting fashion narrative for this press tour.

It looks like the gothic style she does so well won’t be the direction she’s taking this time around. Instead, she’s replaced it with something else. Have you noticed it yet?

Her custom gold satin slip dress by Torlowei, featuring black Leavers lace and floral detailing, was every bit as striking as the yellow sleeves on her Calvin Klein photocall look.

Yes, we’re following the sun, with yellow and gold emerging as the defining colours of this press tour. Given the film’s title, Klara and the Sun, Jenna appears to be embracing another form of method dressing: dressing for the title.

Much like Zendaya incorporated spider motifs into her Spider-Man press tour wardrobe, Jenna appears to be following a similar approach with Klara and the Sun, using yellow and gold to reference the film’s title.

The matching mustard-yellow Aysha Leavers lace cap was another interesting choice. There’s something almost vintage about the combination, particularly the way the lace frames her face, while the fluid silhouette feels like a departure from the looks we’ve come to associate with Jenna.

Or perhaps I’ve simply become so accustomed to her darker, more gothic press tours that seeing her embrace warmer colours and softer silhouettes feels lighter.

Either way, I’m intrigued to see where this press tour goes now that I’ve spotted a theme.
