Kerry Washington Embraces Wiederhoeft’s Signature Corsetry

Kerry Washington attended the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art Opening Night in Los Angeles on Saturday, ahead of the museum’s public opening. Co-founded by George Lucas and Mellody Hobson, the new museum is dedicated to the art of visual storytelling, spanning everything from illustration and photography to comics and cinema.

The actress wore a Wiederhoeft Spring 2026 look featuring one of the label’s signature corsets. Between the elongated pointed waist, draped bust and crystal embellishment, there is a romanticism to the corset that feels distinctly Wiederhoeft. And the shimmering dusty-rose colour is beautiful on Kerry.

But then we come to the skirt.

I like the taupe with the pink corset, but I’m not entirely sold on the fabric. There’s also some curious bunching at the left hip in every front-facing picture, which initially had me wondering whether it was simply the way the skirt was sitting.

Then I saw the back.

The fabric is gathered into a draped swag across the back, and this is where my enthusiasm dipped. It feels like an unnecessary addition to a look that already has plenty of interest through the corset.

An updo, Tyler Ellis clutch and Le Vian jewels completed her look.
