Zendaya Wore Vetements To The ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ New York Photocall

Columbia Pictures has finally released the official photos from the Spider-Man: Brand New Day photocall held at Edge at Hudson Yards on Friday in New York City.

After last week’s black leather Louis Vuitton look, and a run of ethereal white Grecian-inspired gowns throughout The Odyssey press tour, Zendaya has taken another sharp turn in her fashion narrative.

This time, she stepped out in a black-and-white look from the Vetements Fall 2026 collection.

If your first thought was, “Where are Law Roach and Zendaya taking us with this one?” or “Where are the Spider-Man references?” look a little closer.

The inspiration comes from Mr. Negative, one of Spider-Man’s most recognisable villains. His signature black-and-white colour palette mirrors Zendaya’s oversized white blazer, black shirt and silver tie, making this one of the more subtle character references of the press tour. Rather than relying on obvious web motifs, the styling taps into a villain whose visual identity is instantly recognisable to fans of the comics and games.

This would normally be the part where I’d question the decision to wear patent leather thigh-high boots on a blazing summer day in New York. But considering the oversized blazer, shirt and tie are essentially the look, it would have been a crime to wear anything else. The boots balance the proportions perfectly while reinforcing the darker, more assertive direction this second chapter of the press tour is taking.

And did you spot the spiderweb Jacob & Co. earrings? I have a feeling the jewellery is going to become just as important to this press tour as the outfits themselves.

Stylist: Law Roach.
