Tilda Swinton In Vetements – 2018 Sitges Film Festival

Tilda Swinton In Vetements - 2018 Sitges Film Festival

Tilda Swinton attended the opening day of the 2018 Sitges Film Festival on Thursday (October 4) in Spain, where she picked up the Grand Honorary Award.

Following her ‘Suspiria’ Venice Film Festival premiere, the ‘At Eternity’s Gate’ Venice Film Festival premiere and AnOther Magazine x Prada Suspiria screening, it’s apparent that Ms Swinton has a thing for red, red carpet looks at the moment.

The trend continued when the actress wore a Vetements Spring 2019 winged pleated dress styled with red velvet Vetements pumps.

I love the feminine details like the fluttered neckline and the directionally draped skirt which is attached to the sleeves.

This particular look has a lot of significance, as Tilda was channeling her character Madame Blanc from ‘Suspiria’.

Opting for a theme during this promo tour can sometimes appear contrived, but in Tilda’s chase, the bold hue has felt fresh and powerful.

Doutzen Kroes In Vetements – Dua Lipa x Jaguar Press Conference

Doutzen Kroes In Vetements - Dua Lipa x Jaguar Press Conference

Doutzen Kroes joined in the celebration of Dua Lipa and Jaguar’s collaborative launch of pioneering tech and music at Sugar City on Monday (September 3) in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Vetements isn’t one of those red carpet ready brands, you have to wait for the commercial version to see what’s actually wearable.

Are gloves built into the sleeves going to be the latest trend? If so Tilda Swinton and Doutzen have the jump on everyone else.

I do like this floral dress, but I feel that Doutzen glossy hair and black Louboutins are not selling the look to me.

A wet-look ponytail or lacquered ‘n loose hair and red leg-wrap sandals would’ve worked for me.

Andrea Riseborough In Vetements – ‘Mandy’ Sundance Film Festival Premiere

Andrea Riseborough was back in action at the Sundance Film Festival, attending the ‘Mandy’ premiere on Friday (January 19).

The actress ended 2017 with plenty of strong statements, and it seems as if she continue that rich vein of form in 2018, if this Vetements Fall 2016 ensemble is any indication.

Emblazoned with the quote ‘May the bridges I burn light the way,’ this design wasn’t only powerful in its bold-shouldered, sweatshirt hoodie dress silhouette.

She completed her fearless, words-to-live-by look with pink eye shadow for the final flourish.

Tracee Ellis Ross In Chanel and Vetements – 5th Annual Beautycon Festival

Tracee Ellis Ross attended the 5th Annual Beautycon Festival on Saturday (August 12) in LA.

The actress combined a classic cream Chanel jacket with cropped blue denim jeans by the contemporary brand Vetements.

I really love the mash up of styles. She gets full marks for originality and for owning her look.

Her gold accessories which include a cheeky Chanel ‘Tweed We Need’ Spring 2015 clutch plus her classic two-tone pumps and bright fuchsia lip bring so much to the look.

Celebrities Love…Vetements X Manolo Blahnik Satin Boots

Vetements is slowly taking the fashion world by storm presenting collection entirely made up of collaborations with well-known brands from Levi’s to Juicy Couture, which designer Demna Gvasalia presents during Couture week.

Part of his Spring 2017 men’s and women’s collections were a standout pair of waist-high boots, created in conjunction with Manolo Blahnik.

Rihanna was of course the first to be seen in these boots while on tour, with Kim Kardashian West following making a fashion statement all of her own. No doubt Anna Dello Russo will be papped wearing them – if she hasn’t already.

For those not daring enough to wearing bright orange waist-high boots, the five piece collection – which is exclusive to Net-A-Porter.com, does feature easier to wear styles such as pumps, ankle-tie pumps, kitten-heel slingbacks, thigh-high and ankle boots – all with a satin finish.
