Naomi Watts Wore Balenciaga To The ‘Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette’ Awards Event
Naomi Watts joined Grace Gummer and Sarah Pidgeon for FX’s Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette awards event at the Metrograph in New York City.

We all remember how Pierpaolo Piccioli’s Valentino Pink PP collection saturated the red carpet to the point of fatigue, but this softer Balenciaga take from the Spring 2026 collection feels more restrained. The tone is gentler, less insistent, and far easier to wear without feeling like a statement that’s doing all the talking.
Naomi’s gathered-shoulder, high-neck sack dress – yes, that is the actual name – marks another outing for this shade, following Rihanna, whose look didn’t quite land, and Sarah Pidgeon, whose look did. This places Naomi somewhere in between.
The silhouette is intentionally loose, but I do find myself wishing for a narrower hem to sharpen the finish, and the creasing doesn’t do it any favours, though it’s not a dealbreaker here. That said, the pink-and-orange pairing with the Balenciaga Duchesse pumps is what saves it for me. These shoes are strangely growing on me, and I like how they add just enough bite to keep the look intriguing.
Stylist: Jeanann Williams.
