Ayo Edebiri, who is currently starring in the Proof Broadway revival, was spotted out in New York today en route to her guest appearance on the Today show with co-star Don Cheadle this morning.

Dressed head-to-toe in a Chanel Pre-Fall 2026 look, I didn’t expect a street style moment from Ayo to deliver her best outing in the house so far, but here we are.

This look taps into the ease and confidence of her pre-Chanel era, as the leather tailoring and slightly off-duty attitude feel more in sync with her natural style personality. The look instantly brings back that energy, with a sharper, more authentic edge.

It also suggests she is settling into Matthieu Blazy’s Chanel, finding a balance that feels more natural on her.

The burgundy Chanel bag adds a pop of colour, while the two-tone shoes – which I was never sold on when I first saw them on the runway – continue their redemption arc. Between this and Michaela Coel’s outing last week, I’m officially convinced that they can occasionally work.
