Colman Domingo Wore McQueen To The AFI Lifetime Achievement Award

Colman Domingo attended the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award Tribute celebrating Eddie Murphy, held in LA on Saturday.

The king of the statement coat continues to hold that title, styling his stand-collar shirt and jeans with a McQueen Pre-Fall 2026 coat that brings together two of the house’s defining signatures.

Since McQueen’s beginnings, the house has been revered for its razor-sharp tailoring and subversive approach to embellishment, both of which are clearly expressed here. Cut with a longline silhouette and strong shoulders, the coat provides a commanding base for the ivory satin-stitch floral embroidery.

Wisely opting out of his favourite Boucheron brooches, he instead styled the look with Boucheron rings, allowing the embroidery to remain the focal point.
