Jaafar Jackson Wore Kody Phillips, Prada & AMIRI Promoting ‘Michael’
Jaafar Jackson, who looks like a seamless blend of Michael and Jermaine Jackson, has been busy promoting his film Michael, in which he takes on the role of the King of Pop.
His casting goes beyond resemblance. As Michael Jackson’s nephew, there’s an innate understanding of his presence, rhythm, and visual identity, so the portrayal feels rooted in familiarity. That same instinct is clearly shaping his press tour wardrobe.

My favourite look has to be this Kody Phillips Spring 2026 ensemble. The polka-dot motif brings a playful elegance, softened by the fluid tailoring, and despite the mostly white base, the black shoes are eased in thanks to the polka dots. But it’s the styling choices where this look really clicks.
The white socks – a clear nod to Michael Jackson’s signature styling, slipped in without making it the headline. It’s subtle, but intentional, and that’s what makes it work. Add to that his natural ease on camera, and the whole look lands exactly as it should: polished, personable, and just referential enough.
Berlin World Premiere
That same instinct carries through to this Prada suit. On the surface, it reads as understated, but the details do the talking. The military-style accent on the sleeve and the brooch feel like a quiet homage to his uncle’s stage wardrobe, adding character without pushing the look into costume territory. It’s once again a smart balance of recognisable references, filtered through a modern, tailored lens.
Homecoming Screening
A stop in Gary, Indiana, the home of the Jackson family, was always going to carry weight. Dressed in an all-brown AMIRI look, the wide-collar shirt and flared trousers tap into a specific era of Michael’s style legacy. There’s a clear ‘70s influence here, but again, it’s handled with restraint.
I like that nothing here feels too literal – no sequins, no obvious replicas – just a series of well-judged nods that let the connection speak for itself.
