Odessa Rae Wore Maison Margiela Artisanal To The 2026 Oscars

I wanted to share Odessa Rae’s look from the 2026 Oscars, as Glenn Martens’s Margiela debut was your favourite of 2025.

The designer has created another custom look inspired by the Maison Margiela Artisanal 2025 collection, so it was interesting to see the comparisons.

I loved the look on the runway, and I will always hope to see it on Hunter Schafer, but the custom version of the ivory satin dress, with its waist that sits lower and lace appliqué rendered in three-dimensional forms, feels like a stronger version for Odessa.

I love out-of-the-box fashion, but I also appreciate when the right look finds the right wearer, so the decision to go custom rather than wear the runway look was the right choice.

The only thing not quite working for me here is the decision to style the look with that green bangle.
