Catherine, Princess of Wales Wore Polo Ralph Lauren & Chris Kerr To The Aakash Odedra Company Visit
Catherine, Princess of Wales visited The Aakash Odedra Company in Leicester on Thursday to celebrate culture and community, a day after the Hindu festival of Holi. During the visit, she was presented with a garland of red roses and pearls.

The garland is a traditional gesture of welcome and honour in many South Asian cultures, often offered to guests as a sign of respect and celebration. The combination of fresh red roses and pearls carries symbolic meaning. Roses are associated with love, warmth and hospitality, while pearls are often linked to purity and reverence.
You know how I love to read into things, and I suspect knowing she would receive the garland may have influenced her outfit choice. The Polo Ralph Lauren knit and pleated dress, paired with the Chris Kerr coat, lean into a neutral palette which allows the garland to remain the clear focal point. Rather than competing with the gesture, the look lets the symbolism take centre stage.

The ensemble was styled with her trusted brown Gianvito Rossi pumps and Sézane Dina earrings. After Catherine’s BAFTAs hairstyle was uncharacteristically messy, it was refreshing to see her hair return to its usual glossy, softly waved finish, which feels far more in line with her usual presentation.
You may remember that Catherine has worn this Chris Kerr coat before, most notably during her visit to South Wales and again for the Together At Christmas Carol Service. It is one of those coats that instantly elevates whatever she pairs it with. The clean tailoring and longline silhouette instantly add structure and refinement.
