Celebrities in Dior for the 2026 BAFTAs
Jonathan Anderson dressed six celebrities in Dior for the 2026 BAFTA Film Awards this evening.
Modern Regency Energy
As you know, I am constantly waxing lyrical about Archie Madekwe’s style, and he delivered yet again in Dior. The cropped jacket silhouette can be tricky to pull off, but the off-white silk wing-collar shirt, with its pleated embroidered collar, gave the look a Regency-era flourish, evoking period tailoring reinterpreted for the modern red carpet. This is yet another strong addition to Archie’s growing style hall of fame. A cummerbund and a pair of black leather D de Dior derbies completed his look.
Overworked
I don’t mind Odessa A’zion’s Dior black lace strapless dress being sheer at all, but the bouquet embroidery hanging from her nether regions is distracting. Yes, it does a great job of concealing her thong, but the placement feels contrived and visually congested. Why not simply double-line that area and let the lace speak for itself?
Editing Required
I can imagine EJAE’s Dior black strapless dress was pretty in person, but the floral embroidered tulle detail at the back feels unnecessary. I don’t think this dress needed the extra flourish. Once again, I find myself questioning Anderson’s editing.
True To Form
This Little Simz Dior Pre-Fall 2026 grey wool coat sits squarely within the rapper’s understated style lane. A gown has never really been her vibe, not even for awards season, and I’m glad she stays true to that. The Dior black leather clutch and matching shoes kept the look cohesive.
White Tie Revival
A white tie can completely shift the look and feel of classic tailoring, as demonstrated by Robert Aramayo in Dior. The contrast adds sharpness and ceremony, elevating what might otherwise reads as standard formalwear.
Timeless Formula
Leonardo DiCaprio in Dior and classic black tie. What more can you say? It works every time.
