Sarah Pidgeon Masters Winter Press Tour Style in NYC
With the fourth episode of FX’s Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette airing tonight on Hulu/Disney+, let’s look back at Sarah Pidgeon’s concluding press tour looks.
It is safe to say that the actress understood the assignment: dress for a Manhattan winter. February in New York is not the time for sheer bra tops, sheer skirts or optimistic styling. It is the time for proper coats, strong silhouettes and footwear that respects the pavement, with the occasional strategic sandal for an indoor reveal.

High-Gloss, Low-Temperature Dressing
She stepped out in an Adam Lippes navy lacquered coat that delivered gloss without sacrificing practicality. Paired with black Le Monde Béryl PVC boots and Jimmy Fairly’s The Aela sunglasses, the finish was slick but functional. The shine of the coat did the heavy lifting, while the boots reinforced the idea that she was actually walking somewhere, not just posing for the cameras.

Leather With Manhattan Discipline
I adore this black Aflalo Affine leather coat, which leans into clean lines and structure and feels distinctly Carolyn Bessette-coded. The look was sharp, city-appropriate and confident. No theatrics, no unnecessary layering, just a strong outer layer that held its own against the winter chill.

From Sidewalk To Skyline
This wool trench was perhaps the most classic of the lineup. But do not judge the Jimmy Choo Jenn sandals too early, because the coat was later removed for the Empire State Building photocall to reveal a Khaite Pre-Fall 2026 leather halter dress.

The contrast worked because the coat grounded the look on the street before the fashion moment unfolded indoors. A smart example of transition styling done right.

Wild Side, City Sharp
Leopard in New York is practically a neutral, and this animal print Adam Lippes coat brought personality to the final stretch of the press tour. Styled with Khaite x Oliver Peoples sunglasses, this would have been my outright favourite, as a lover of animal print, were it not for that impeccable Aflalo leather coat still living rent-free in my mind.
This is how you do winter press. Varied, considered outerwear that frames each look while acknowledging the weather. No lace bras peeking through, no chiffon battling the wind. Just coats doing what coats are meant to do, and doing it well.
Stylist: Emma Jade Morrison.
