Olandria Carthen Attends Robert Wun Spring 2026 Couture Show

Every fashion week, there is that one girl or guy who makes a strong impression perched in the front row at the most high-profile shows.

This Paris Haute Couture season, that presence has been Olandria Carthen, and given how she closed out 2025 before stepping into 2026, the momentum makes complete sense.

I have said before that while I admire her consistent support of emerging designers, I was keen to see her step into larger fashion conversations to test her range. This week delivered exactly that, with her appearance at the Robert Wun Spring 2026 Couture show marking the latest look.

Those who have been following since 2019 will remember that Tessa Thompson, alongside stylists Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald, first introduced many of us to Robert Wun. What Olandria achieves here, however, is something different. She places the designer in front of an entirely new audience, and that kind of visibility should not be understated.

What stands out is Wun’s signature drapery, a throughline that has defined his work since the Fall 2024 Couture show. That drapery has since been amplified by Jodie Turner-Smith, Lisa, Lizzo, Chloe Bailey, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph. However, this is the first time we see that sculptural language translated into a trouser silhouette.

I initially questioned how wearable the design would be in motion, but a video on twitter revealed that it wasn’t as restrictive as I had assumed.

As for what comes next, all signs point to Sunday’s Grammys, and if this week is any indication, Olandria will be one of the standout stars there, should she attend.
