Jennifer Lawrence Wore Givenchy To The 2026 Golden Globe Awards

Jennifer Lawrence, who is nominated as a Best Actress nominee for Die My Love, shocked everyone when she stepped onto the red carpet for the 2026 Golden Globe Awards this evening.

Not only because she was not wearing Dior, despite being a house ambassador, but also because she leaned into the nude dress trend, wearing a custom Givenchy by Sarah Burton look. Yes, another major French fashion house. That is why I am surprised. However, the fashion landscape around ambassador roles and rules has changed since the creative director shift back in September.

If you are anything like me, Beyonce’s 2015 Met Gala Givenchy Haute Couture dress immediately sprang to mind. How could it not? The sheerness and sequinned floral embroidery feel very reminiscent. However, Jennifer’s look was styled with an embroidered satin shawl collar bomber.

This may surprise you, but I love it. Jennifer has been tied to her contract for so long that it is refreshing to see her express herself in her own way on her own terms.

I love a well crafted sheer dress where the undergarments are not ruining the illusion, and that is perfectly done here.

It is her best look in a very long while, but I’m sure this will split you down the middle.
