Kristen Stewart Wore The New Arrivals & LESET On Late Night With Seth Meyers

Kristen Stewart made a guest appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, promoting her directorial debut, The Chronology Of Water. And as you know, a Kristen appearance rarely passes without a fashion talking point.

I’ve long been a chief apologist when it comes to Kristen’s choices. She can sell me almost anything — until she doesn’t. Case in point: this sheer sequin dress from The New Arrivals, layered over the Crop Sleeveless Margo by LESET. It’s the kind of look that immediately prompts a double take, followed by a pause.

She didn’t wear the full look on live television. The black plaid-lined jacket was left behind, but the dress-and-top combination stayed firmly in place for her segment. Seated in the studio, the impact was dialled down — somewhat. Standing, in full daylight, it’s a very different story.

Kristen’s fearless approach to fashion is part of what keeps her interesting, and I’ll always respect her willingness to take risks. The dress itself is named ISIS IN NUDISTE — which, frankly, says it all. Translating loosely to “is in the nude,” at least that’s how I’m reading it, it’s an oddly fitting description for a look that leaves very little to the imagination.

Bold? Absolutely. One I’m rushing to defend? Not this time.
