Kate Hudson Wore Stella McCartney To The 2026 Critics’ Choice Awards

Red made another appearance for Kate Hudson at the 2026 Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday.

Fresh off the Palm Springs International Film Awards, where she also leaned into scarlet territory, Kate doubled down on the colour — this time in a Stella McCartney Spring 2026 mini dress with a dramatic train, which landed firmly in her sweet spot: playful, fun, and confident.

Her previous Stella McCartney outing left me unconvinced, but this was more like it. The sweetheart neckline and pleated construction brought a flirty ease, while the extended train added a sense of occasion that worked beautifully for her role as a guest presenter. It was as eye-catching on the red carpet as it was on stage.

What really sold the look was Kate enjoying the moment. It’s this sense of joy that has always set her red carpet appearances apart, and I’ve missed seeing it lately. This was a welcome return.

Christian Louboutin Miss Z patent leather pumps and Chopard jewellery added a refined sparkle that didn’t compete with the dress’s bold colour story.

This was Kate Hudson, fully back in her element — and I loved every second and inch of it.
