Style Shift of 2025: Jessie Buckley
Jessie Buckley has long been the Irish actress we could rely on to go against the grain, and for years that unpredictability was her calling card.

Her statements were loud and fearless: gothic, punk energy in Schiaparelli, Harlequin queen drama in Vivienne Westwood, raven hair one red carpet, platinum blonde the next. That sense of surprise was part of the thrill—until, suddenly, it wasn’t.
The Roksanda look back in October felt like the closing chapter of Jessie Buckley as we knew her. In came Hamnet Best Actress awards season momentum and celebrity stylist Danielle Goldberg, ushering in a new era defined by refinement, restraint, and campaign-friendly polish.

I don’t knock the strategy—get that Oscar, play the game. It worked for Lady Gaga when she traded Gaga for Stefani Joanne. Still, this pivot feels so far in the opposite direction that I can’t help wishing for a middle ground—where edge and elegance coexist.
Stylist: Karla Welch / Danielle Goldberg.
