Tracee Ellis Ross Wore Dior To Netflix’s ‘Being Eddie’ LA Premiere
Tracee Ellis Ross attended Netflix’s LA premiere of Being Eddie — a celebration of Eddie Murphy’s life and career. The pair previously worked together on the 2023 film Candy Cane Lane, so it was no surprise to see Tracee showing her support. She always brings personality to a red carpet, and this one was no exception.

I’m sure the moment you clocked the pleated reverse-collar top, your mind immediately went to Dior — specifically Jonathan Anderson’s Dior — and you’d be absolutely right. This ivory silk top paired with black wool cropped trousers hails from the brand’s Spring 2026 collection, a collection that has left some of us torn when it comes to its red carpet viability.

But here’s the twist: even with the theatrics of the black lace detail covering her face — which, to be fair, wasn’t present in every photograph — I’m kinda here for this. The look feels directional in a way that suits Tracee’s style instincts. She’s always been at her best when she leans into offbeat details, and this top definitely ticks that boxe.
That said, the top absolutely needs the tuck. Untucked, I feel it would run the risk appearing unflattering. With the tuck, it introduces proportion, giving the pleats somewhere to sit rather than billow. It’s one of those cases where a styling choice makes all the difference.
Tracee’s look might still divide some of you — Anderson’s Dior is having that effect — but for me, she’s one of the few who can take something this conceptual and wear it confidently. But I am glad she didn’t go for the hat or the shoes.
Stylist: Karla Welch.
