Ariana Grande Wore Balenciaga To The ‘Wicked: For Good’ Singapore Premiere
There was an unfortunate incident at the Singapore premiere of Wicked: For Good, and the evening came to an abrupt end — an anticlimax for everyone who had poured time, talent, and energy into bringing the event to life. But as the cast began sharing their looks on social media, it felt only right to celebrate the artistry that still deserves its moment.

Ariana Grande led the way, giving us our first custom Pierpaolo Piccioli for Balenciaga creation — a moment many of us have been quietly (or not so quietly) waiting for. And what a debut it was.
Her pink sequined gown has that unmistakable Piccioli romance but filtered through the sharper, more sculptural lens of Balenciaga’s new chapter. It’s dreamy without tipping into costume, nostalgic without feeling stuck in the past, and utterly in sync with the Wicked universe without being literal. Ariana has always loved a vintage reference — it’s practically part of her fashion DNA — but this gown bridges that affection with a fresh, modern edge.

The iridescent discs catching the light like bubbles made the whole look feels like Glinda couture seen through a contemporary, high-fashion prism. It’s theatrical in the best way, the kind of dress that transforms with every angle.
Swarovski jewels completed her look, but honestly, the gown did most of the talking. Even in studio lighting instead of a red carpet, Ariana delivered a look that feels celebratory.

It’s a shame the premiere itself didn’t get to unfold as planned, but fashion moments like this deserve to be witnessed — and Ariana made sure we did.
