Cynthia Erivo Wore Dior To The ‘Wicked: For Good’ Paris Premiere
Cynthia Erivo continued to lean into the hue most closely associated with her character, Elphaba, while attending the Wicked: For Good premiere at the Palais Garnier in Paris. And while I do expect she’ll deviate from black as the tour progresses, I’m very content to sit in this chapter a little longer.

The British actress wore a Dior Spring 2026 black silk cape and skirt, which on the runway had more day time styling approach, but here reads as theatrical in the best way. And yes — I know exactly what you’re thinking. The cape and the oversized hat lean very close to the character’s silhouette.

There’s no way to argue otherwise. But Cynthia has worn dramatic hats long before stepping into this role, and the cape itself is clean, not overwrought, which prevents the look from drifting into costume territory.
What I appreciate is how considered this feels. The volume is measured. The neckline is open enough to break up the darkness, giving the look a sense of ease rather than heaviness. The hat, meanwhile, isn’t a cliché witch reference — it’s simply part of Cynthia’s ongoing love story with sculptural accessories.
Tiffany Victoria® earrings completed her look.
